I purchased a 2015 GMC Wrangler from Rycart on September 1st, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. Just one day later, I called because an injector hose was spraying gasoline onto the ground and there were concerns with the brakes. I was told to bring it back, and after inspection they claimed nothing was wrong with the brakes. About two weeks later, I ended up paying 1200 dollars in repairs because the brakes were metal to metal. During the financing process, the loan officer, Michelle, told me that Capital One required a service warranty. When I contacted Capital One directly, I was told that was not true. When I called the dealership back to address this discrepancy, the loan officer became belligerent, called me a liar, and said she never made that statement. However, when I had previously returned to the dealership about the brakes, I had specifically asked if I could change financing companies and have the warranty removed. At that time, I was told again that Capital One required the service warranty. It's extremely concerning that I was given information about financing that directly contradicted what the lender told me. Selling a vehicle with serious problems is concerning enough. But being dismissed when raising legitimate safety concerns and then treated disrespectfully when questioning financing made this experience even worse. I expected honesty, professionalism, and a car that was safe to drive. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Based on what I went through, I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing here to have any vehicle thoroughly inspected by an independent mechanic. More

I wanted my son to have a good experience purchasing his first newer car, but unfortunately, our experience with Ricart Automotive has been extremely disappointing. Almost immediately after driving the car first newer car, but unfortunately, our experience with Ricart Automotive has been extremely disappointing. Almost immediately after driving the car home, he discovered several issues that have turned what should have been an exciting purchase into a frustrating and expensive experience. The headlight was out and had to be replaced, and shortly afterward, the check engine light came on. He was told to bring the car in, but by the time he arrived, the light had gone off, and we were told there was nothing they could do about it. My son specifically voiced his concerns about the possibility of the turbo failing, but those concerns were not adequately addressed. This left us concerned that a potentially serious issue was not being properly investigated. Then the air conditioning stopped working. He took the car to the service department, where they recharged the system and charged him $400, assuring him they didn't believe there was a leak. As it turned out, there was a leak. When he returned with the issue, he was quoted another $700 for the repair. He also purchased an extended warranty, only to discover that it apparently doesn't cover this repair or provide the protection we expected. To make matters worse, communication from the service department has been lacking. After bringing the car back for the second time, they even attempted to charge him for a rental car. On top of that, when the service department returned his vehicle, the dashboard had not been properly reattached. **His car was literally returned to him without being put back together properly.** This is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the quality and attention to detail in their service department. It's incredibly frustrating to see my son, who was excited about purchasing his first car, dealing with one problem after another and facing additional expenses almost immediately after buying it. It raises serious concerns about how thoroughly this vehicle was inspected before being sold and the quality of the repairs being performed. My husband and I have purchased six new vehicles over the years, and we have had good experiences with Ricart's new car sales department. However, this experience with the used car lot and service department has fallen far short of our expectations. We understand that used cars can have issues, but the way these problems have been handled, the unexpected expenses, the lack of communication, and the condition in which the vehicle was returned have left us extremely disappointed. After this experience, **we will think twice before returning to Ricart for our next vehicle purchase.** It's disappointing that an experience like this could change our confidence in a dealership where we have purchased multiple vehicles over the years. A first-time car buyer deserves to feel confident in their purchase and to be treated fairly when problems arise. I hope Ricart takes these concerns seriously and makes meaningful improvements to its used vehicle inspections, service department workmanship, communication, and customer service. More
I bought a truck from the Used Car Factory in July. My own contact numbers were wrong. Everything we provided at our credit union pre-approval was correct. Ricart didn't catch it — our credit union did, three to four weeks later, when the loan couldn't close. In those three to four weeks, no one from Ricart contacted us. No follow-up call about the purchase, no check-in, nothing. We learned there was a problem from our lender. What happened after is why I'm writing. I drove to the dealership and asked for a finance manager or general manager. I was directed to a sales supervisor, spent about two hours there, and left with no answers and one instruction: bring my wife back to re-sign. I called and left two messages. Nobody returned them. Then I posted a review, and a manager replied in thirty minutes. That manager was the general sales manager of a different division — the one who monitors reviews. He forwarded my complaint elsewhere. The manager of the Used Car Factory, the division that actually sold me the truck and made the error, never contacted me. Not once, over six weeks. Neither did the finance manager. Not to explain, not to apologize. The one call I did get came from the employee who prepared the original paperwork — the person I had asked in writing not to be routed back to. He confirmed he hadn't read my complaint. He said the error appeared in one document; when I pointed out it appeared in several, he checked and agreed. He told me my Social Security number was on the title application, which was wrong. Asked how another person's data got into our file, he had no answer. Asked where my wife's information went, he said he had no way of knowing. Correcting the paperwork took three attempts. The second version came back with the wrong county, a phone number I haven't had in years, and an employer I left about a decade ago. Over six weeks I asked five times, in writing, whether my wife's Social Security number, phone number, or driver's license number ended up in another customer's record, and whether the person whose data was in ours had been notified. Neither question was ever answered. Ricart said the third-party matter would be handled internally and offered $199 toward identity protection my wife would have to purchase herself and submit a receipt for. Credit where it's due: Noah Stein got the final paperwork right and was responsive when I reached him directly. Lynne DeWitt in Consumer Affairs was polite and professional and answered quickly — but only after I found her contact information on my own sale documents and escalated there myself. Nobody at Ricart routed me to her. Nobody at Ricart routed me to anyone. What concerns me most is what none of this produced. Dealerships handle Social Security numbers, driver's licenses, and financial records all day, and they are treated as financial institutions for exactly that reason. Yet no one at Ricart would confirm that this was documented as a security incident, that anyone searched their systems to find out where my wife's information went, or that the customer whose Social Security number ended up in our file was ever told. I asked repeatedly. The answer was that it would be handled internally, and nothing further. The only people who engaged were the ones I found myself, after the problem was already weeks old and after I posted publicly. Every step of fixing this fell to me. I identified the error, I chased the answers, I caught the mistakes in each round of replacement paperwork. If you finance here, read every field before you sign, photograph your copies, and verify what gets submitted on your behalf. And know that if something goes wrong, nobody is going to call you. More

There was no high pressure and my wife and I felt very comfortable. This is the 3rd car I was a part of purchasing from Ricart and this was the first time I felt that Ricart was truly “dealing.” Greg and Dan made it very easy, they listened to me, gave a more than fair offer for my trade-in and I felt we settled on a very fair price for the car I purchased. I have already begun to share my experience with others. I would highly recommend this dealership and more importantly Greg and Dan to anyone looking for a new used car. Thank you. More

I knew this was going to be challenging for myself due to my credit but they were all so patient and never showed any frustration even when I ended up being there after closing to finish up the deal! I could not have asked for a better team to work with and so accommodating! Highly recommend this dealership for anyone who may be looking for their next car purchase. Dez, Mhaki and Deshawn were the best!!!! Thank you all again! More
