What Others Say

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with a recent experience I had at this dealership OpenRoadAcura of East Brunswick. As a long-time and loyal Acura customer, I’ve purchased vehicles at other Acura dealerships, from Rallye Acura, Island Acura, Paragon Acura, and Curry Acura just to name a few. And in every instance, at these Acura dealerships a customer is always treated with respect, courtesy, and professionalism. Lately, I had been searching for a specific 2022 ILX model with a white exterior, which I had hoped to purchase as an 18th birthday gift for my daughter. I contacted this dealership (Open Road Acura of East Brunswick) on Monday, 9/08 to inquire about the vehicle’s availability. I spoke with a salesman and I was told to fill up the application form online and send a copy of my driver’s license if I’m a serious buyer, which I did. I asked if I could make a deposit to secure the vehicle, but I was told that I need to come in person. The following day, Tuesday, I made multiple follow-up calls with the salesman to make sure the vehicle is there and informed him that I will arrive at the dealership around 6-7pm. I spoke with John yesterday morning, again at 3 PM, and then at 5 PM, just to be sure the vehicle is ready before making the trip from New York to New Jersey. To my dismay, when I arrived at the dealership around 7 PM, the salesman informed me that the vehicle had been sold just minutes before I arrived. This was incredibly frustrating and disheartening after driving 2 hours of traffic. Not only because I had made such a significant effort to confirm availability beforehand, but also because it was meant to be a surprise and special gift for my daughter. My heart sank. Given my repeated calls and clear interest, I would have expected the courtesy of a simple phone call letting me know the vehicle was no longer available. Instead, I was left feeling disregarded and extremely disappointed. Sadly, this experience was unlike anything I’ve encountered at other Acura dealerships, and it reflects very poorly on the team’s professionalism and customer care. As a loyal customer who has always chosen Acura for both its quality and service, I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and it led to such a disappointing customer’s experience.

Set an appointment for a squeaking rear left side brake for 12 o’clock arrived at 11:45 exchanged information and took a seat and waited to hear back , 1:45 the service mechanic comes out and lets me know the was a rock stuck between brake and rotor should be ready soon . 2 hours of waiting around to have a rock removed is a bit excessive. No other work was performed only 1 tired was looked at 😒..Acura service can do better .

There is a pothole bigger than my car in the parking lot of this dealership. Somehow it’s gets ignored despite numerous costumers complaints. This is the second time I am at this dealership and I’m outside as they drive my car over said pothole and I can clearly hear my car bottom out which undoubtedly is causing cosmetic damage at the very least. As I sit hear waiting for my service I am wondering if they are going to drive thru that same pothole once my car is done. It is ridiculous at this point! At this point I am considering taking my car to the Bridgewater dealership as it seems they care a little more than at this dealership.

A lot went wrong with this dealer. I made an appointment to look at a CPO vehicle. Upon arrival, the vehicle was not even ready for me to see. The sales person went to get the vehicle, which took about 10 minutes. He pulled it up and it was totally unprepared for a sale. The exterior was covered in catkins and the interior wasn’t clean either. So not a good first impression. I took a ride in the vehicle and then we sat down to see if we could work out a deal. I was prepared to purchase the vehicle. However, they totally lowballed me on my trade-in by about $4000. Then the price that I saw on CarGurus, they said it was listed on their website for $7000 more. To his credit, the sales person said that they would honor the CarGurus price, but obviously they tried to make up for it by lowballing my trade and then adding on all these “dealer fees”. They also were telling me that I had to purchase window etching and what they called the protection plan which they said was the cost of the car because it was certified preowned. What a bunch of nonsense. We ended the discussion with the sales person and telling me that he would speak to the sales manager the next day to see if there was any movement on the value of the trade and get back in touch with me. That call never came. So, overall a pretty poor experience at this dealership and I did not purchase a vehicle from them. I ended up purchasing the exact same car, brand new for less than what they were going to charge me for their CPO. This entire experience was the epitome of why car dealers get a bad rap.

ad a great experience with the staff. Marc is a great guy and helped us a lot with the process and features of the car. We are loving our new Integra

My wife and I have leased several vehicles through Open Road Acura of East Brunswick. We always work with Anthony. He makes the process simple, is knowledgeable about the models, provides competitive prices to us, and explains all of the features once the car is prepped. If you are in the market for an Acura, I highly recommend that you visit Open Road Acura of East Brunswick and ask for Anthony.
