This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has been recreated to be driven. Engine: 283 V8 bored out (.60 over) to 292cu.in./Forged Pistons/Steel Crankshaft/Rewoked rods/Complete Assembly Balanced/High Volume oil pump. The block was completely deburred, all oil galleries reworked, line honed, block head surface parallel decked. Cam Isky / New Lifters, 5/16 push rods, stamped steel rocker arms. Aluminum Heads, Aluminum Intake, Edlebrock Carb. Transmission/Rear: Borg Warner T-10 4-Speed, Posi Rear 3.70, Custom Hurst shifter, Borg Warner 11'' Clutch and pressure plate. The current owner added electric assist steering to the package and it makes a world of difference at slow speeds and when parking at the car show! Turn the key and it roars to life. No smoke and no weird noises, just a grumble of V8 muscle wrapped in the first iteration of the most famous moniker on the planet. 'Merica. Black over red with that chrome grill and quad headlights is just sinister. The white soft top is in excellent condition and it comes with a black factory hardtop with red lining as well! Seatbelts are present for you and your passenger if you try to test the 160mph speedometer (not recommended). For the purist, the original engine and heads are available if you are looking to create a Bloomington Gold show queen.
