1964 Chevrolet Chevelle

The Chevelle debuted for 1964 as Chevrolets new midsize car, and the Malibu was its upscale trim. Wagons of this kind were built to haul families, which makes this one a surprise. Its a custom 396ci V8 wagon with a purple and silver paint scheme and glass cutouts in the roof. Finished in silver with light purple down the sides, this wagon looks nothing like a family hauler. A hard bump hood with matching light purple decals adds an aggressive touch, and the glass cutouts in the roof bring light into the cabin and give the car a look few wagons have. A roof rack adds some practical, old school wagon character, and the contrast of the silver body, purple accents, and glass roof makes this Chevelle stand out at any show or cruise night. Power comes from a 396ci V8 paired with a 700R4 4 speed automatic transmission, a combination that gives it strong power along with an overdrive gear for relaxed highway cruising. At the back is a 12 bolt posi rear end that was installed new in 2025 with 3.73 gears, so the power gets to the road and the car launches with real authority. A new wiring harness for the engine and lights adds reliability and peace of mind, and air conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable on hot days. Inside, black leather seating with grey cloth inserts gives the cabin a rich, upscale look that pairs well with the silver and purple exterior. A double din Clarion stereo with a screen brings modern audio and technology to the dash, while Dolphin gauges add a clean, classic look and make it easy to keep an eye on the engine. With a wagons roomy interior, the cabin is as practical as it is stylish. This Chevelle Malibu wagon is a one of a kind build that blends classic 1960s styling with serious V8 power, a fresh rear end, and a custom look thats hard to find, ready to turn heads wherever it goes.
