Seller's Comments

INTRODUCTION: Documented by GM of Canada, it was born as you see it today! It also has its original #s matching engine, transmission and highly desirable factory colors. It has since undergone a body off frame, rotisserie restoration. The fact that it's #s matching and equipped with some of the most sought after colors and options makes this an exceptionally desirable for collectors and enthusiasts alike! EXTERIOR: When have you seen another one like this? I know I haven't. I call it the ''Peppermint Candy'' Chevelle, and the best part is it was born this way. The body is laser straight from top to bottom, including the rockers, with exceptionally clean, smooth metal throughout. It features its original cowl induction hood complete with a functioning flapper door and hood pins. Repainted its factory color, the finish is polished to a smooth, glossy shine and accented by correctly painted white stripes and a matching white vinyl top. The chrome and trim are straight and bright, while the windshield and weatherstrips have been replaced. For authenticity, it wears T3 headlamps and rides on proper SS wheels wrapped in reproduction Wide Oval tires that deliver the original look with modern radial tire technology. INTERIOR: The factory white interior is the perfect complement to the bright red exterior! It has been restored with fresh seat cushions, upholstery, headrests, seat chrome and trim. The door panels, armrests, and window cranks were replaced. Fresh carpet is dressed with SS floor mats, and the factory center console looks like new with a Hurst 4-speed shifter proudly sticking out of it. The restored instrument panel features a full set of gauges, including a working clock, and a retro stereo fits neatly in the factory radio opening. The SS steering wheel is in excellent condition as well. Up above, the headliner is fresh and the dome light works. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Open the hood and you're looking at a motor compartment that could have rolled right off the showroom floor in 1970. At its heart is the original VIN # matching 396 rated at 350 horsepower, restored to factory correct specs. It retains the stock manifolds, valve covers, and a fully functional cowl induction system. The brackets, pulleys, power steering, and power brakes all appear proper and correctly detailed. It is complete- The washer squirters are hooked up, the horns are functional, and it features reproduction hoses and clamps, spring-clamp battery cables, and a Delco battery topper for the correct factory appearance. Even the hood insulation is in place, completing the showroom fresh presentation. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is impressive like the rest of the car. Under the trunk lid and in the jamb, the finish is a beautiful gloss red, while the trunk itself features exceptionally clean metal coated with a neatly applied factory style spatter finish. As a nice finishing touch, it includes a matching SS spare wheel fitted with a never used BFGoodrich tire and it has the jack assembly. UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame and flipped on a rotisserie for a thorough restoration. It is equipped with the desirable F41 suspension, which includes front and rear sway bars and boxed rear control arms. The steering and suspension systems have been completely rebuilt and even feature the correct spiral shocks. The fuel system has been replaced, including the tank and fuel lines. The brake system has been rebuilt with front disc brakes, rear drums, and a functional emergency brake. The dual exhaust system features a crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers for a great sound. Looking up at the engine, it is clean Chevy Orange and fitted with the proper style starter. Power is routed through the VIN # matching M20 Muncie 4-speed transmission to a 12-bolt rear end with 3.36 gears. The underside is detailed throughout, with clean, smooth, dry metal floors finished in semi-gloss black. SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes t
