1970 Jaguar XKE

1970 JAGUAR E-TYPE SERIES II ROADSTER Chassis 1R 11063 - Silver over Black - 4-Speed Manual Two owners from new. Delivered new to Pennsylvania in 1970 and in the current owner's hands since the early 1990s, this Series II open two-seater carries the paperwork most E-Types cannot produce. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate confirms the car left the factory on 14 October 1969 finished in Silver over black leather with a black hood, exactly as it sits today, and records its original engine, gearbox and body numbers. The Pennsylvania title certifies 44,305 actual miles as of 2004, with light use since. Behind that sits a decades of documented care totaling close to $26,000 in professional invoices. The rear suspension and brakes were comprehensively rebuilt by Ragtops and Roadsters, the fuel system cleaned, coated and renewed throughout, and the car has just come out of Proper Noise in Reading with a new fuel pump, rebuilt carburetors, new master cylinder and servo, four new tires and a front end alignment. It is sorted and ready to drive. Honestly stated: the car was repainted in its original Silver during an older restoration, when the seats, soft top and bumpers were also renewed, and the engine has since been rebuilt. Always garaged. No structural corrosion. Chrome wire wheels. Complete file of invoices, Heritage certificate and title available to serious buyers.
