1983 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

A Rally car that has competed and podium finished the iconic Cannonball Run is what we are looking at here. It is of course a 1983 Mercedes Benz 500 SEL finished in beautiful 80's Brown...Lots of Brown and more specifically Manganese Brown with Brtown Velour interior. This car has had a ton of mechanicals completed in the last several years and there is no lack of information regarding this car online especially in MB Market. Some of the things done are as follows: Valve guides for both intake and exhaust Coolant flush Head gaskets Timing chain Timing chain guides New rocker arms Cam oilers Transmission rebuild by Sun Valley Newer ignition rotors and caps New alternator Drive belts R134a A/C conversion Radiator fan clutch Fuel pump and filter Transmission shift linkage bushings Kick down switch adjustment Thermostat This car starts, runs and goes down the road really nicely with no noises or squeaks, shifts smoothly and is a real joy to drive. The paint has some dings and scratches but nothing out of line for the year and miles. The underside is in excellent condition if you ask me and under the hood is tidy as well.
