1997 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

This 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL600 is exactly the kind of R129 that collectors are searching for: low mileage, the right options, and properly serviced. Finished in classic Silver over two-tone Gray leather and showing just 39,000 miles, this is an exceptionally well-kept example of Mercedes-Benz's flagship roadster.Under the hood is the legendary 6.0-liter M120 V12 producing 389 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The SL600 was the top of the R129 lineup when new, combining effortless V12 power with the bank-vault build quality that made this generation of Mercedes so special. What really separates this example is its factory AMG Sport Package and extremely desirable removable panoramic glass hardtop. The Sport Package added AMG lower-body styling and AMG wheels, giving the SL600 a much more aggressive stance while retaining the understated look of the original Bruno Sacco design. The panoramic roof is one of the most sought-after R129 options and completely transforms the car with the hardtop installed.R129s have become increasingly appreciated as modern classics, and the V12 cars sit at the top of the range. Finding one with just 39k miles is difficult enough; finding one equipped with both the AMG Sport Package and panoramic roof makes this an especially compelling example. Most importantly, this SL600 has been fully serviced by Wolfgangs Mercedes Service and is being offered as a Wolfgangs Certified car. The convertible-top hydraulics have been replaced, brand-new tires have been installed, and the car has been thoroughly gone through so the next owner can simply get in and enjoy it.With its naturally aspirated V12, low mileage, AMG Sport Package, panoramic glass roof and timeless color combination, this is the type of R129 we love to find. Properly sorted, beautifully preserved, and ready for its next caretaker.Financing is available as is nationwide deliveryIn business over 30 years Vantage Auto offers both unique inventory and fresh trade ins offered at wholesale to the public pricing.
