RESTORATION PROJECT
This 2008 Porsche Cayenne S, internally known as Project Cypress, was Porsche Sacramentos entry in the 2026 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge, presented at the Werks Reunion during Monterey Car Week. Project Cypress was extensively restored, upgraded, and reimagined to create a Cayenne capable of performing both on- and off-road while remaining durable, refined, and enjoyable for years to come. Beyond its mechanical transformation, the vehicles interior and exterior were carefully inspected and reconditioned, with cosmetic imperfections addressed throughout.The build features an extensive collection of upgrades from Eurowise, including: Custom front and rear Bilstein B8 8125 shocks with Eibach springs, providing approximately 4.5 inches of lift 2-inch subframe drop Complete front and rear polyurethane control-arm bushing replacement Full underbody protection system Baja-style front bumper Dual-swing-out rear bumper Adjustable front upper control arms Adjustable rear control arms Stainless-steel Trailblazer exhaust system with bumper-exit exhaust tips Front sway-bar mounting system with Apex disconnect links Modular roof rack Interior rear MOLLE panel and cargo tray Dash-mounted MOLLE panel Additional upgrades include off-road auxiliary lighting, a recovery winch with interior controls, revised 4.10:1 front and rear differential gearing, and an upgraded infotainment system utilizing Porsches Classic Communication Management (PCCM) system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® integration.
