Why We Acquired This Vehicle
The Ghost is the car that changed Rolls-Royce. Where the Phantom was a statement bought almost entirely to be ridden in, the Ghost was conceived as something an owner might drive themselves - shorter, more responsive, and considerably less formal. It outsold the Phantom immediately and became the foundation the modern company was rebuilt on.
Underneath sits a 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V12 producing 563 horsepower and 575 lb-ft, with peak torque available from 1,500 rpm and an eight-speed automatic behind it. The body is a steel monocoque with an aluminum hood, riding on self-levelling air springs with anti-roll stabilization and electronic variable damping, and it was assembled at Goodwood in Chichester.
This example arrived with its original Monroney, which records a $250,000 base and a total suggested retail of $299,985 - very nearly fifty thousand dollars of options and charges. It is finished in Diamond Black over Seashell with black contrast, and the order covers both halves of the car: rear theater screens for passengers and massage seats for whoever is driving.
