This Vehicle will qualify for the New Mexico State Tax Credit of $2500! This car will net for $6,000 after the tax credit.
You may ask yourself, ''what good is a car with a 100 mile range?'' If you drive more than 50 miles a day in Albuquerque or Santa Fe that's a rough day. The average commute is less than 15 miles each way. If you are on the PNM EV overnight rate at five cents per kilowatt hour, you'll be paying approximately $3.25 for 250 miles.
Take it a step further and say you get 50 miles per gallon of gasoline, Those same 50 miles in an EV would cost you $.65. 65 CENTS! That's not even taking account all the maintenance that a gas powered vehicle demands, Oil changes, fluid flushes.
You may also say, there's not enough infrastructure. 95% of EV owners charge at home 95% of the time.
