Unlike the supercharged V8 found in previous-generation Z06 models, the C8 Z06 uses a flat-plane crankshaft, dual overhead camshafts, dry-sump oiling system, and an 8,600-rpm redline to produce 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Chevrolet describes it as the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 offered in a production car at its introduction. Power is delivered through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, allowing extremely quick gear changes while maintaining the smoothness needed for street driving. The mid-engine layout places the mass of the engine behind the driver, helping give the Z06 exceptional balance and responsiveness. The Z06's performance isn't simply about horsepower. Chevrolet developed the car with extensive influence from Corvette Racing, with the Z06 sharing significant engineering philosophy and architecture with the C8.R racing program. Aerodynamics, cooling, braking, suspension tuning, and chassis development were all designed around the Z06's track-focused mission. 70th Anniversary Special Edition The 70th Anniversary Special Edition Package, valued at $5,995, makes this Z06 even more special. Chevrolet introduced the package to celebrate 70 years of Corvette, with the Z06 and Stingray receiving unique anniversary design elements. The package includes distinctive 70th Anniversary badging, special wheels and center caps, Edge Red accents, anniversary interior details, red stitching, red seatbelts, and sueded microfiber appointments. Carbon Flash Metallic was one of the signature exterior colors offered for the anniversary package, making the specification of this Corvette particularly striking. 3LZ Convertible Luxury This isn't just a track-inspired performance car the 3LZ trim gives the Z06 a considerably more upscale cabin. The Ceramic White interior with Red Stitching creates a dramatic contrast against the Carbon Flash Metallic exterior, while the Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Upper Interior Package adds another level of premium craftsmanship and performance-inspired design. The convertible configuration allows the driver to experience the sound and character of the LT6 V8 with the roof open, while still providing the refinement and technology expected from a modern luxury-performance vehicle. The cabin features premium seating, heated and ventilated
