You will be glad you did..What the reviews say..Smooth-running engine options, plush cabin, plenty of modern tech features. The X5 delivers on luxury and refinement. A turbocharged inline-six is standard and delivers smooth, even power. The cargo bay is generously sized, and the interior is decked out with plenty of modern connectivity tech. X5s wearing the sDrive40i or xDrive40i badges are powered by a sweetly sonorous 375-hp turbocharged inline-six that overachieves in any model BMW drops it into. When we tested the 375-hp 2025 X5 xDrive40i, it got to 60 mph in a swift 4.4 seconds.Interior space is generous for adults in both the front and rear seats. Once settled inside, occupants are treated to a cabin lined with high-quality materials, plenty of charging points for devices, and, depending on the options chosen, myriad luxury features. The X5 cabin offers plentiful cargo space. With the rear seats in use, we managed to fit 11 of our carry-on suitcases behind the rear seats. With the rear seats folded, an operation that can be done from either the side or the rear of the SUV, we found room for 26 cases. Upon entering the X5's cabin, you're met with a curved display screen that spans two-thirds of the dashboard. A 12.3-inch screen behind the wheel serves as a gauge display while a larger 14.9-inch touchscreen provides access to BMW's iDrive infotainment interface. Users can also control the system via a center-console-mounted rotary knob. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, as is a wireless smartphone charging pad and a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot. The X5 makes you smile with the silent knowledge that you're in one of the best-built, most well-thought-out SUVs on the market. The build quality is superb, the interior is covered in high-quality materials, and there are never any random squeaks from the interior panels. BMW's voice control system is one of the best around. It can process commands like opening the sunroof, changing the temperature, turning on and off the head-up display, and more. The X5 might be class-leading in some performance metrics, but those doesn't come at the expense of comfort. The X5 is so composed, quiet and comfortable that it almost surprises you. Think of the X5 as your palace from the outside world.
