This dealership is fine until something goes wrong—then they disappear. I was explicitly promised two key fobs, and the salesperson assured me multiple times that she would make sure I received the second they disappear. I was explicitly promised two key fobs, and the salesperson assured me multiple times that she would make sure I received the second one. When I picked up the vehicle, there was only one key fob. I was again told they would provide the second. After following up days later, I was informed they would not honor the promise. That alone shows a lack of integrity. Less than 30 days after purchase, the transmission completely failed. When this happened, both the salesperson and the General Manager ghosted me for several days until I pushed the issue. I took the vehicle to another Nissan dealership and was quoted $6,000 for a replacement transmission with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. I was also told the transmission failure had clearly been developing well before I purchased the vehicle. Great Lakes refused to accept responsibility or stand behind what they sold. Instead, they offered a used transmission for $4,000 with minimal warranty, essentially asking me to roll the dice again on a major component failure. This dealership does not stand behind its vehicles and does not honor its promises. Once they have your money, you are on your own. If you value honesty, accountability, and basic customer service, steer clear of Great Lakes. More
It took us awhile to find the Hyundai we truly love, but we closed yesterday. We've never worked with such a classy and knowledgeable group of salespeople, including the GM. No comparison. All very sharply dressed, very polite, very smart guys; that DOES make a difference. The Service Lane Manager helped us, too, and took the time to have our new car washed and polished. The gentleman who closed us was very personable. I'm sure I am not the only person who goes out to the garage just to admire their new purchase! I did that several times last evening. That's a sign the dealership sold us the perfectly perfect car. More
Went for a test drive and ended up with Ryan who was so low key, very pleasant and knowledgeable! They were all understanding of my needs but after driving the Tuscon, I was hooked. Still, not in the market to buy, somehow it happened. Ryan was able to sell not one but two cars to me and a friend who just came along for the ride! Steve provided great insight to all the additional add ons/finance and Rick brought it home. Very pleased with my overall experience from Great Lakes and with Ryan Smith! Can't speak for the service as yet and looking forward to driving this amazing car. More
