Had my 2021 F-150 towed here because it was the closet ford dealer and the truck was broken down at my work 2 miles away, I called the service department ahead of time to make sure they knew it was coming ford dealer and the truck was broken down at my work 2 miles away, I called the service department ahead of time to make sure they knew it was coming. The next morning at 10 am I get a call from the service advisor stating he had my key but couldn't find my truck so he needed the make, model, year, and vin number (all of which was listed in my appointment). After attempting to return his call 4 times with no luck, I finally got a hold of a salesmen who tracked him down. He finally returned my call at about 3:30 in the afternoon stating that he still hadn't found my truck and that I had never called him back, when asked about fixing it he told me they were very busy and would maybe get to it tomorrow but he wasn’t sure. I then got a text message that he found the truck at 4:00. The ford dealer I usually go to called me that evening said they saw I had a roadside assistance request, wanted to make sure everything was okay, and offered to pay to have it towed to them so they could fix it on top of offering me a loaner and a diagnosis as soon as it got there. I eventually just opted to have it towed from Monroeville Ford to my home dealer that night, and tried to tell the Monroeville service advisor ahead of time with 3 phone calls, a voicemail and a text, with no success. The truck ended up being parked right outside the service door along the wall, which the tow truck driver found in approximately 2 minutes, making it seem like the service advisor didn’t even bother to look for it. The next day I went back to get my key and a different service advisor said to me that they diagnosed it yesterday as a dead battery and wanted to charge me $180 for a diagnostics fee, stating that my fireman’s light was the reason it was dead. In the 3 years I have owned the truck, I have never had a problem with a dead battery due to my lights. After a long discussion about it, the advisor still insisted that was the problem, it was my fault, and wanted to charge me for a battery and the diagnostics fee. When asked why a dead battery would make the truck stall out after it was jump started the advisor told me that he didn't know that was happening and I should have called and told them that. The other ford dealership found a broken wiring harness on the alternator and a bad alternator on the truck, which makes me believe that Monroeville Ford never even looked at it, yet still wanted their $180. Additionally, the battery tested dead but they insisted the battery wasn’t the issue and would be fully charged after the alternator was changed. The lack of customer service from the Monroeville Ford service department was appalling to me and I would hesitate to even let the circus of incompetence that it is fill my washer fluid, if they could even find it. The staff was very professional, kept me up to date on the progress of my vehicle repair, and made sure I was well taken care of with my warranty claim and that everything would be covered as needed. the progress of my vehicle repair, and made sure I was well taken care of with my warranty claim and that everything would be covered as needed.
