Incompetent or sloppy? Scheduled warranty work to replace the radio unit from my 2015 Rogue. Showed up :15 min early (8:30am appointment). Left vehicle to have radio repla Scheduled warranty work to replace the radio unit from my 2015 Rogue. Showed up :15 min early (8:30am appointment). Left vehicle to have radio replaced, front power windows trouble shot and luggage rack cross bars installed. 1) the service writer told me it'd be $275 or so dollars to install the cross bars - which have two bolts for each attach point, for a total of 8 bolts AND the bars come with the torx wrench to install them, I asked if that could be right. A mechanic and I looked at the vehicle and he said that I would be charged one hour minimum of mech time to have them installed. I decided to do it myself - which I did and it took about :15 min. 2) Radio swap took until 2pm - from 8:30am until 2:00pm for a straight up radio swap. Seemed too long to me. When I finally picked up the car and drove home - the GPS/NAV didn't work. I called - which took several tries to get someone to pick up - and was told to come back. Back I went, through traffic, and waited about an hour for them to correct what they screwed up in the first place. 3) Balky front power windows "could not be dublicated". I had hoped that I could keep getting my car serviced at the dealership where we purchased it, but in light of my recent experiences there, I think not. The telephone wait times are off the chart and just TOO LONG. IMHO, This kind of sloppiness and/or incompetence comes from the top. Who ever is in charge of that dealership AND the manager of the service department have issues. Having to wait 10-15 min, or having to hang up and call back later, is crap and means you'll lose business - like mine. FWIW, Tripp Harper is a decent employee - he's doing his best, but is being screwed over by the rest of the "team" there - ie. who ever is running the service department. More
Good Fast Service Took my Rogue in for service and Brad was the service writer I always work with. Upon entering we had a pleasant welcoming and as I walked in, Brad had several other customers waiting. The wait is not an issue, but it proves how good of a person he is because he shows care in what is going on with your vehicle. He made sure I was Comfortable as I waited for the car. I waited in the lounge area and was prepared to spend some time there, but the staff worked on my car and I was out in no time. Brad was very courteous as always and I appreciate the team saving me some time. Spoke with a young salesman as I waited (Tim) who was also very courteous. More
