I've owned nothing but Acura's throughout my life and was looking forward to upgrading to a new MDX in the next few months. I brought in my current Acura for an oil change which they did but I was told my re looking forward to upgrading to a new MDX in the next few months. I brought in my current Acura for an oil change which they did but I was told my rear break caliper needed replacing which I was fine doing since I had a roadtrip planned in the coming days. I paid close to $2000.00 to have one rear caliper replaced. When I left the dealership it sounded like my suspension was missing on the left side. My car has a loud rattle and harsh feeling over every little bump on the road. I brought it back the next day only to be told that it's an older model and thats what happens, the shock absorbers weren't there anymore. This was surprising since the shock absorbers were working perfectly fine before they did the work on the rear breaks. I was told the fix would be $3000.00 and effectively shown the door. My car has never sounded like this and did not sound like this before I brought it in to be serviced. I've called the dealership several times and provided my contact information to several receptionists so that management could call me back to resolve this matter. It's been 8 weeks and I have yet to get a call back from the manager at Acura of Stamford. Acura corporate called to ask about my experience and I shared what occurred and they were very receptive to my feedback and said they would go through the appropriate channels to get my situation remedied. My car now has a significant rattle when I drive it. I will never step foot in Acura of Stamford again after they attempted to shake me down for an additional $3,000.00 for a mistake they made after spending nearly $2000.00 for an oil change and a caliper. Furthermore, I will never purchase an Acura or any Honda related vehicle ever again. Best of luck if you get your vehicle serviced here, there's a good chance it will perform significantly worse when you leave their lot and they will fully expect you to pick up the tab. More
Beware! ! When you go to the Greenwich Acura website you are redirected to Stamford Acura. When you call Greenwich Acura they pick up in Stamford. This wou ! This would lead someone to believe that they are connected in some way. Yet when you go in to Stamford with a lease agreement from Greenwich Acura it will not be honored. Be aware of this! Though the agreement I entered into states that all maintenance will be covered for the term of my lease I was curtly told today that this is not the case. They acted as though they have no relationship with Greenwich which seems hard to believe. Stamford Acura has lost a customer who truly wanted to love them and they lost one over a $79/oil change. I will repeat this story as many times as is necessary, never leave a customer with this level of dissatisfaction...especially a vocal one! More
