Amos Minter's

Very deceptive advertising pratices. They infer that they have restored the cars they are selling, but when pressed for more information, they cannot provide clear answers as to where they came from or what have restored the cars they are selling, but when pressed for more information, they cannot provide clear answers as to where they came from or what they did to improve the vehicle. Car was delivered with a dead battery and unsafe brakes after the Minters were asked to do a safety check and insure the car was reliable and not subject to breakdowns. Would not recommed this 1955-1957T-Bird dealer to anyone unless a very knowledgeable person went along with a prospective buyer. More

THis dealer stole the town and country radio from my '57 original Bird and put it into another customer's car which didn't have the original radio in it. Minter denied doing this, but my SS # was etched on original Bird and put it into another customer's car which didn't have the original radio in it. Minter denied doing this, but my SS # was etched on the back of the radio. Thief. Liar. I photographed the radio in the other customer's car and confronted Minter. He said he ddddddidn't kkkkkknow hhhhhow that cccccould hhhhhhave hhhhhappened. More

In my opinion, Mr. Minter is deceptive. My experience is the following: He makes you think that he did the restoration but carefully doesn't say so explicitly. While you are at his shop, he shows you where the following: He makes you think that he did the restoration but carefully doesn't say so explicitly. While you are at his shop, he shows you where the work is done and shows you the "sticker of approval" on his car, then later you discover that his shop didn't actually do the restoration on it when he is questioned directly. My recommendation is that you should ask him very direct questions and get his answers in writing before ever dealing with him. He says he will buy the car back if you want to sell it and then he doesn't. He says he will correct any problems with it and then doesn't. The car I bought had problems every time I drove it, and then he said he would not take it back. More
