PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I wish I could rate them negative stars. My husband bought a $45,000 used truck from them in January, drove it for about a month and a half and the transmis I could rate them negative stars. My husband bought a $45,000 used truck from them in January, drove it for about a month and a half and the transmission messed up. We are pretty sure they knew about it and still sold it anyways because my husband even questioned the salesman, Garrett, during the test drive about something the truck did which we know now was the transmission. But he reassured my husband that it was only the truck adjusting shifts. We trusted Garrett and Ford but they screwed us over really really bad. the truck is modified and again we were reassured by Garrett that the truck would still be covered under warranty even with it being modified if anything were to happen to it. LIES LIES LIES. We are now stuck with a $45,000 truck that is not drivable and looks like it’ll cost at least $5000 to have transmission fixed. We have contacted Ford numerous times about helping with this matter but no luck because they do not care. Y’all please stay away from this place I am begging you. It has caused us a lot of headache and stress. They will tell you what you want to hear just to make a sell. At the end of the day that’s their job, and they will do anything to get their job done. They care nothing about you as a person, as a customer. They are heartless! And let’s not get started on the service department....took the truck for diagnostics to make sure it was the transmission. They are the rudest people I have ever dealt with at a dealership. Again they care nothing about you as a customer. Originally when my husband called to see how much it would be to have the diagnostics done and the lady said at least $100 an hour. But when we went to pick the truck up(because we refuse to give them more of our money to fix the truck) we asked how much did we owe to the diagnostics well she said we didn’t owe anything.....WELL I GUESS NOT BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY SCREWED US OVER BY SELLING US A LEMON!!! BUYER BEWARE DONT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY BECAUSE IT IS ALL LIES. More
This dealership sets the bar for excellence. I felt so comfortable that I bought a new truck. Y’all might wonder why that is important. Well, anytime I spend more than 100 bucks, I fret. When I stopped by comfortable that I bought a new truck. Y’all might wonder why that is important. Well, anytime I spend more than 100 bucks, I fret. When I stopped by Anderson Ford, my only intention was to test drive a new truck and get some questions answered.Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. So much impressed me, I drove home my new truck the next day. They filled the tank, made that truck shine from the hood to the rear bumper including the tires. Easily the most worry free major purchase I have ever made. To Grizz and the whole staff, thank you! I am now a life long customer. More
In a nutshell, nothing went well , and everything could have been improved. The "Check Engine" light came on in my 2018 Ford Expedition with about 19,000 miles on it, and I called , and everything could have been improved. The "Check Engine" light came on in my 2018 Ford Expedition with about 19,000 miles on it, and I called Anderson Ford to set up an appointment to have it fixed, realizing that it would likely require 2 visits, one for diagnosis and a second to actually perform the repair if parts were needed. I set up the first appointment for February 27 and, after diagnosis, a purge valve was ordered. After the part was received, I set up a second appointment for March 9. On March 9, after approximately 90 minutes, I was informed that the Ford maintenance website was down (some information was apparently required from the site to perform the repairs), so I rescheduled for March 11. On March 11, I again returned to Anderson Ford, and after again waiting approximately 90 minutes, I was told the wrong part was ordered. Apparently, or at least I was told, there are 2 purge valves, and the wrong one was ordered. I left the vehicle with Anderson Ford overnight, and the part came in the next day, March 12, the purge valve was replaced and the "Check Engine" light extinguished. Several days later, the "Check Engine" light came back on. I again called Anderson Ford, set up an appointment, and brought the vehicle in for service on March 23. I was told the diagnosis would take about 45 minutes. After an hour and a half, I was then told the vehicle needed one more test, but that piece of test equipment was being used on another vehicle. After an additional 45 minutes, the service manager informed me that my vehicle had "too much fuel." I had never heard such a thing, but apparently the tests require that the vehicle be between 1/4 - 3/4 (25 - 75%) full, and my vehicle was 90% full. At this point, I raised my voice (not yelling) and asked if they did not know that this test (or tests) required a certain fuel level? I received a dismissive response along the lines of they didn't know until the test equipment told them. I asked if this was the first time they had performed such a test. I asked if this information was a state secret. I asked if they thought it appropriate to inform customers, in advance, that a certain fuel level might be required. The service manager turned his back and left the waiting area. I followed him to his office, again asking if this was a known requirement. At this point several things happened nearly simultaneously. First, I was threatened with having the police called. Second, as I was saying I would take the vehicle to another dealer, the service manager told me Anderson Ford would no longer service my vehicle. So to recap... 5 visits to Anderson Ford, and I still don't know what is wrong with the vehicle. Never again, and I encourage others to think twice before visiting this dealership. As a footnote, I called Lake Keowee Ford to set up an appointment. After telling the consultant/advisor that my "Check Engine" light was on, he closed the conversation by informing me that the test required that my vehicle have between 1/4 and 3/4 tank of gas. More

I wanted to collect the informat I submitted an inquiry online regarding a vehicle that I was interested in, and I received a response within minutes. I wanted to collect the information I was looking for before my planned trip to the dealership. Upon arriving I was greeted by a salesperson and introduced to the person I had been speaking with over the phone. The salesman, Marion, took over from there and did a fantastic job in getting us into our new Explorer! We can't thank him enough for making it so fun and easy, as well as the management staff for being so accommodating and easy to work with. We'll be coming to Anderson Ford for all our future purchases, as well as sending our family and friends! Thank you, The Martin Family More

I just bought my car there a few months ago and the Catalytic Converter needs replaced and I already need new tires. So, I get to smell rotten eggs (sulfur) if I accelerate too hard! I have went to the Catalytic Converter needs replaced and I already need new tires. So, I get to smell rotten eggs (sulfur) if I accelerate too hard! I have went to the Quick Lane where you get your oil changed - that is supposed to be included in whatever plan I have, and the two times that I have went they were not very helpful at all with explaining what the plan that I have from when I purchased my vehicle actually covers. They acted as if it was some type of chore! My first visit to get my oil changed I sat there for over two hours. The second visit I made to get my oil changed that is supposed to be free, a guy came out to me at the last minute (AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED) and said I owed him $50. They ended up correcting that and I did not have to pay anything, but I got to the Service department around 1 o’clock and I did not leave until around 5 o’clock. No one should have to sit there that long to get an oil change. To top the whole situation off, my TPS light was on after I left and I checked the pressure in my tires and they put 65 pounds of air in my tires. It’s almost like they wanted them to pop driving down the highway. It was completely ridiculous! Oh, Forgot to mention that it took literally almost 3 months to get a tag for my vehicle. I had to go back to the dealership which is 30 minutes from my house to get more temporary tags. I still can’t believe they sold me a year old vehicle with a bad Catalytic Converter! I told them about it and no one ever called me back. Go figure. More
Worst experience ever. I will never go back to Anderson Ford again. If I could give 0 stars I would but it made me give at least 1. It all started on September 3, 2019. I had been eying a Silverado 1500 Ford again. If I could give 0 stars I would but it made me give at least 1. It all started on September 3, 2019. I had been eying a Silverado 1500 that they had on the lot and had just sold my camper so I didnt need the big diesel I had anymore so I went to drive the truck and see how I liked it. Truck drove great and had no issues so i began to negotiate on price. Traded in my diesel which had a book value of almost 20,000. They started very low (as expected) and offered me 10,500. I was not having that so eventually I just told them I'd buy the truck outright and sale my truck myself. He told me that they would wholesale my truck and there was no money in it. I told him to give me a price on the new truck and suddenly, without a trade the truck magically costs 4 grand more than list price. When I questioned it he just blew it off and said that was the price if I didnt trade a vehicle in so Eventually we agreed on a trade amount and we started the deal. Told then I was not financing through them and called my credit union. They approved the loan and everything was good to go, but then the ford place sent a bill of sale for a different sale price (the one that they tried to hook me with without a trade) and was trying to fudge paperwork to get more money. My credit union caught it and made them redo everything. Then they tried to say I agreed to a purchase price 4 grand higher and I had to pay the 4 grand immediately. After several choice words with the manager they backed down and agreed to the correct prices again. Drove the truck home and got everything cleared. I planned to put $2,600 down on the truck to lower my payment some and once the credit union papers were complete, they got my debit card number to run for the down payment. 2 weeks later they called and asked for the card number again. I gave it to them again and they still didnt run it Fast forward. I kept track of my truck on their website and they listed it and sold it within a couple weeks. It still had not been paid off and finally at the end of last week (more than 30 days after the trade) I called and questioned why they havent paid it off yet. Called them 3 times because the trade in wasn't paid still and finally one of them returned my call and said they'd check on it. My credit union called me and asked where the payoff was and I called the dealer monday. The credit union had to call because they wouldn't return my call and they got on arguing with them and magically it was paid off instantly. Still didnt have my registration on the new truck. Fast forward to yesterday. About 10AM I started getting back to back phone calls and texts. Wanting to know where their money was.I was at work and couldn't answer my phone so my wife called them and they harassed her telling her they had to have the money right then and because they waited so long to pay off the truck I owed the difference in the payoff amounts as well. She told them that I would call them at my earliest convenience but to stop harrassing me with calls and texts. They said they wanted to be sure I had their message. I worked late and by the time I got off they were closed so I planned to call them this morning. They texted and called a total of about 15 to 20 times yesterday and this morning it began again. I texted them back and told them I was not paying any extra on the payoff because of their laziness and drag-assing and it turned into harassment and arguments pretty quick. I then realized that was going nowhere and told them we would discuss it when I got there this afternoon and then questioned my registration for the truck. They gave me the run around and finally I told them that once they had my registration I'd come by and give them my card to run again. He said I was a liar and never gave them my card to begin with and they got very aggressive and harassing. Finally around 2:30 today I got the text saying everything was ready. When we got to the dealership they didnt have the registration (found this out later) and sent someone to the DMV when we sat down in their waiting room to get the registration. We Sat in that waiting room for 45 mins before someone finally decided to come out there and tell me to come sit down and run the card. Questioned my registration again and they blew it off. Told every one of them if I didnt have the registration in my hand I wssnt paying and they told me about sending someone and if I didnt pay today they would come repossess the truck from my yard. I told them to try me and see what happened. They told me I was threatening them and they could do whatever they wanted. When I told them they couldn't legally take my truck as they weren't the leinholder and they had no ties to that truck anymore and if I wanted to and was dishonest I didnt owe them anything as my paperwork had a $0.00 down payment required they quickly backed off and told me I could wait on the registration to get there before paying the down payment. Finally saw the registration and went to run my card for my down payment. When we got to the cashier the manager told them it was for 2,799 and I got furious. He told me it was because of the payoff thing and I told him no. I wasn't paying for it because they were the slow ones not me after a 15 min standoff and some more choice words to which I told them I was leaving and they weren't getting anything from me and would be hearing from my lawyer they backed off that and wanted the $2,600. When It was all said and done we had a talk with the manager and salesman again. I questioned everyone involved as to why it took so long I was told they were waiting on my down payment to which I told them I had given them the card twice and they said no I was a liar and that I was trying to just cheat them out of their money. I asked how they could sell my trade 2 weeks before it was paid off and they said they were waiting for my down payment before they paid off the trade and then they were paying it off but because I was slacking off on my end they had to pay it off so it wouldn't be late. Remind you this was 35 days after payoff quote and it went as a late payment on my credit and hurt my score as well. They all just seemed to not care. This was just a summary and didnt cover everything that transpired but I couldn't begin to type everything that happened. Longer story short, they are all liars and con artists and dont ever buy anything from them. If they were the last car lot on earth I would walk everywhere before I bought a car from them again. More
