Tried to talk me into buying a new engine when my 300M overheated on the road; I went to their dealership for help; instead I was pressured to pay $4,000 for a new engine. My home dealership, which had just replaced the timing belt and water pump along with standard maintenance, disagreed with the diagnosis and flatbedded my car 100 miles in order to make their own diagnosis. They also offered to pay for a rental car in the meantime, but I had already made other arrangements. My car is now running extremely well. Champion has been in touch with me regarding my complaint. Dealer principal has tried to make things right; still, Champion's service manager believes his diagnosis of my car is correct -- that my car will have major engine problems appear very soon; the fact that the car has over 100,000 miles on it could have something to do with eminent problems, however. In the meantime, I've put another 1500 miles on the vehicle without incident, and was charged nothing by my home dealership for the additional work done to correct the overheating problem. More
