This dealership has NO problem LYING; STEALING; CHEATING; SCAMING to make a sale. There management not only facilitates these practices but encourages them! The only negative we came away with was when the manager, John, put numbers in front of us that did not exactly match our understanding of the deal we had made. Very friendly but I'm very concerned re: floor matt in my Scion sliding under the control pedals, & when my male company brought it up at purchase time it was "pushed under the rug". Since then I've gone in 2x, been helped asap- other issues. Lg. debt 4 me; I was looking at Toyotas @ other dealerships for several thousand less and this dealer wants bigger profits. Overall, though, they've been responsive, though twice I've had "check engine" light come on- first time for gas cap seating, second time needed new thermostat as I was told. I'm still under the 30-day warranty per MD law. The sticker in the window said I was under original warranty but that was actually technically expiring within weeks, if not already expired, so that was a misadvertisement. I said OK on customer service because I had to get out of work to get the check engine light checked out- the manual Bass got me is from the 2007 and I have a 2005 so it is not neccessarily as accurate as needed! OK for workmanship since that matt does not go w/this car and is dangerous! Price OK since the new Scions sell for about 16,000 and this car had 59,000 on it and is 6 years old, after 2,000 down payment I still had to finance almost 9K. I am wondering if I'd have been smarter buying a newer. less high-performance engined car, since the gas mileage is certainly sacrificed for the 16-valve engine. This was (I was told) the only car on the lot near my original price range of 8K (what I was truly comfortable financing.) There was some discrepancy between what Sam in finance told me and what my insurance co (Nationwide) told me about how soon my insurance was to cover the car, or perhaps Sam in finance did not elaborate clearly. I felt a little pressured by Sam, like he was a little slick, and when I signed the papers to purchase, I got a chill up and down my spine which really did not leave me comfortable, to be honest. I feel better about the Manager and salesman, Bass and Steve. More
