My wife and I were on our way to a competing dealer to test drive a charger. We decided to just stop and look at a Ford Taurus. We were greeted by Scott Rutman. He was very helpful in answering our questions about all the Ford vehicles they had. Scott never was pushy and never degraded the other vehicle we were intrested in. He just sold me on the Taurus because he had faith in the vehicle. Scott was more then helpful with us on all the fuctions the car has. I would recomend Scott to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. Anyone who can convince me to purchase a vehicle I had no intention of buying has to be able to show me the value of switching from being a lifelong Dodge buyer to become a first tmie Ford buyer. I initially went to find a used vehicle that I could use for the winter. I did find a 2003 Lincoln Aviator on their website. When I went to look at it after being in contact with the dealership by email I for the winter. I did find a 2003 Lincoln Aviator on their website. When I went to look at it after being in contact with the dealership by email I come to find out that the vehicle is not available to look at because it was currently on loan to a customer for an extended period of time. They didn't tell me that after I drove for over an hour to find it. That is fine, I can accept the fact that it was not available. After a month and a couple emails I finally received confirmation that the vehicle was back on the lot. Great, so I go to look at it. It appears to be in good shape, so I buy it. I should have looked a bit more closely at the vehicle. When I did all of the standard checks on the vehicle I find that the air filter had not been changed in over 50,000 miles. It was black, not a good thing to see in a vehicle. Then I look at the oil, it was black, even though the sticker states they had done an oil change. Once again, this is all on me. Every other dealership that I had purchased a vehicle from made sure that it had a fresh oil change, the fuel tank is topped off, and I received a tour of the dealership (never did receive that.) The original sales representative that I dealt with was never available after my initial review of the vehilce as well, I was passed on to three other people who asked me the same questions with each new person. In short I did not provide above a three (3) in any of the ratings because of the lack of care that was evident in the cleaing and standard maintanance of their used vehilces. Potential buyers do a very thorough check on your vehicle and make sure it is actually there. More
