💥It is amazing how people treat people based on there appearance as they walk in the showroom.💥 This past week my wife and I have been shopping for vehicles! We have searched several States lookin appearance as they walk in the showroom.💥 This past week my wife and I have been shopping for vehicles! We have searched several States looking for excatly what we are looking for. Comparing vehicles, researching Carfax, dealer notes and asking for service records. A week ago Friday Heather started making contact with Chynna at Art Moehn Chevrolet in Jackson Michigan. Thru numerous conversations they scheduled a test drive of the vehicle for 6:15pm Monday evening. Monday afternoon Chynna had info from our Bank and reconfirmed Monday afternoon that she would see us Monday evening at 6:15pm. We arrived at the dealer Monday evening at 6pm. Walked in and was greeted. We told the sales rep who we were and had a test drive and been talking with Chynna. He went to get the keys so we could look at the vehicle. Shortly later another salesman's stops and asks if we need help. This salesman has a badge saying Sales Managers. So we tell him the other guy is getting the keys and he asks for our names. He walks away. And the first salesman come back and says he can't find the keys. In the meantime a third sales person walks by and asks if we need help. So I respond, I hope someone helps or we will find somewhere else to purchase a vehicle. He agreed and says well hopefully those guys take care of you. Meanwhile we have yet to meet Chynna that we have been in contact with. The first salesman sits back at his desk and the Sales Manager comes back and says, well we have a slight communication issue. Your vehicle is pending sale and you should have received an email notification at 4:45pm saying the sale was pending and we would notify you if the other party didn't make the purchase. I felt like we were being played at the time and asked when they were coming. He said they had been there Saturday for a test drive and was coming in at 6:30pm. If we wanted to stay we could or they would call us if the other party didn't show up or purchase the vehicle. So I said while we are here can we still look at the vehicle, the sales manager said yes, but you can't test drive it and I will have the salesman show you the vehicle, he is working with the people that are coming in at 6:30pm so it's only fare. For him to help you. Kinda bizarre, because Chynna has been working with us and yet nobody has mentioned where she is and also why didn't the first salesman have a response when he first talked with us??? So he takes us out to look over the vehicle. Then tells us again that we could wait or he would call if the deal didn't go thru. I said we already drove over an hour, so we would wait and I wanted to look thru the service records. The sale manger brought us the records and again said we could leave and they would call if the other people didn't show or make the purchase. Kinda like he didn't want our Country folk style in his showroom. So as we set there and go the the records, I notice several items that have been replaced with 5,000-10,000 mile increments. Like maybe the vehicle had hit something and each service they noticed a a different leak and changed parts (Grille, Bumper, Radiator, Oil pan, Time Chain Cover, and then the Fuel Tank). At 6:35pm the couple walks in to the dealer and is greeted by the same 2 guys. They hand them the keys and walk over to tell us they are there for the test drive. So if we want to leave we can, and if the deal doesn't go thru they will call. I responded back. That's fine, I'll just sit here and wait. So we waited around 20 mins and they returned. After some discussions the sales manager walks over and says they are going thru with the purchase, sorry. Is there anything else we could help you with or look at? Now all of a sudden you want to help us. So I asked if he had another unit similar to what we came to look at. Well no sir sorry. As we walked out we began to question if the saleslady Chynna was real or AI technology??? More
I bought a 2023 Kia Sorento on Nov. 29, 2024. After the salesman had confirmed some basic info, I was passed to Matt, the finance guy. He sat me and my parents (they were loaning me 29, 2024. After the salesman had confirmed some basic info, I was passed to Matt, the finance guy. He sat me and my parents (they were loaning me a down payment) in his office where he proceeded to give us a great deal with a $1500 tradein value for my 2011 Ford Fusion. Fantastic. When he asked for the title for my Ford, I gave him what I THOUGHT was an acceptable document—the signed-over title of the Ford from my ex husband. I will admit guilt here—the title should have been fresh and in MY name, which I did not understand. But Matt said, “It’s fine, we’ll take care of it,” and took the title and gave me the tradein value. In December, after I’d already driven the car back to Illinois with the promise “I’d receive plates in the mail,” I received texts from Matt stating that they actually DID need a fresh title, so they’d fedEx the faulty title I’d given them back to me. Several weeks later, that title had not arrived. It had been lost with FedEx, and my ex had to order another one. At this point, the temp tags given by Art Moehn had expired. I called the dealership to ask for new ones and they refused for “legal reasons.” I even offered to repay the tradein value of the Ford and start over, but was told that wasn’t possible. My ex finally got the Ford’s fresh registration and signed it over to the dealership. I FedExed those documents back (it was nearly March at this point). I received a text from Matt confirming that, yes, I should receive my plates in the mail, and they’ll send a 60-day temp tag, which did arrive. The 2nd week of May, I still had not received my plates. I became concerned—my temp tags would expire May 29, and I’d booked a road trip through Canada (at a $2k expense) for which I’d need proper registration. So I contacted Matt (after several ignored previous attempts) on May 14, asking if he could check that all paperwork was in order. He assured me that it was, and said I just needed to wait. Several days passed with no update, so I reached out to both the Illinois and Michigan Secretaries of State. Neither had any information on my VIN. I spent over 4 hours on hold. I reached out to the leinholder, Capital One, who said, yes, there was a delay from Art Moehn on paperwork. Feeling like I might have found the issue, I contacted Matt. He proceeded to call me back and repeatedly state that he could not do anything, that the lender had nothing to do with the registration, that it “must suck” to be in my position, but there was absolutely nothing he could do because DealerDoc (who he’d FINALLY agreed to contact after several texts) hadn’t “gotten back to him.” He insisted that DealerDoc “doesn’t make mistakes” (this did turn out to be true, but wait for the end). So I reached out to DealerDoc on May 23. They returned my call on May 27 to communicate the following: DealerDoc did not receive ANY transfer registration paperwork until May 15. One day AFTER I’d sent Matt the a text regarding checking on a 3-month-old registration paperwork submission. To reiterate—I now realized Matt hadn’t submitted ANY paperwork until almost 3 months following his receipt of my valid title. Art Moehn’s employee berated me, ignored me, and then gaslit me while covering up his own ineptitude. He had never submitted the paperwork until AFTER several emails and texts from me (nearly 3 months after I’d submitted valid documents) and lied through his teeth about making a mistake. While I now finally have my plates (nearly 7 months after sale, 3 months after submitting valid paperwork, and many hours wasted on hold), I cannot speak more poorly about Art Moehn’s staff, at least with this particular employee. My Kia is fine, by the way. But don’t trust financing, registration, or communication from this dealership. More
Warning! Stay away from Art Moehn Chevrolet if you are looking for a used car. I purchased a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica from them and it has a blown head gasket Stay away from Art Moehn Chevrolet if you are looking for a used car. I purchased a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica from them and it has a blown head gasket and my mechanic said they had to have known it had this problem prior to them selling it to me because when they changed the oil it would have been white because of the coolant leaking into the piston chambers and mixing with the oil. I am a disabled senior citizen and my wife is also,She has to use an electric wheelchair and we can't afford to have this vehicle repaired. Also they had archived the engine codes in the computer that indicated misfires in cylinders 3 and 5 which would have told me there was a problem with the engine. More

The wrong size was installed, is terribly over torqued, and it is impossible to remove. They will not return our calls and take accountability for the obvious damage they have caused. They can't handle the responsibility of a simple oil change; please don't think they will do any other service with integrity, either. More

I was told, "We don't charge a doc fee. " We just double charge (at an obscene rate) "Other taxable charges." It's my own fault. I asked about doc fees and they said as above, and I belie " We just double charge (at an obscene rate) "Other taxable charges." It's my own fault. Fadi is an amazing salesman for Art Moehn. He made my buying experience very easy. He is very knowledgeable and his costumers comes first. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do to help anyone out.
