Found out after numerous stalls/starts severe frustration that car manufacturers installing “start/stop” feature. Would’ve been nice to be prewarned. Can’t imagine assuming majority of customers aware of that nonsense. I guess you figure that could be a deal breaker if told up front? More
I have had the worst experience with this dealership thus far. I have had my new car for 37 days and it has been nothing but hassle. I love my car (Escape Hybrid), but working with the people at Asheville Fo far. I have had my new car for 37 days and it has been nothing but hassle. I love my car (Escape Hybrid), but working with the people at Asheville Ford has been traumatizing. First, I was given one key and told I would get the second one “when they find it”. The keyless entry code didn’t work and can’t be reset without both keys. Turns out that they lost the key and it is on back order. I still don’t have my second key or a keyless entry code. I was also told that I had a full size spare, which I genuinely appreciate, except that it’s not. One week into owning the car, I got a flat tire which of course wasn’t covered by warranty. The price I was quoted for repair jumped by $70 after they rang me up due to “equipment fees”. I purchased the Auto Butler, but was never called back for scheduling. I had to eventually call the sales manager three weeks after purchase before someone returned my call. When I scheduled, I was told I’d be given a loaner since the process would take about four hours. When I arrived to drop it off, I was told no loaners were available and that I could wait in the lobby or use the shuttle service which would take about two hours to arrive. 8 hours after I dropped the car off, it is still not finished and I am stranded at work with no ride and no way to pick up my children from school. I have called several times as was told that they would “send someone out” but couldn’t estimate what time they would arrive because it “depends on where they are.” I am beyond frustrated and will never buy another car here again. I probably won’t even use my free oil changes since apparently they don’t value their customers time. It very clearly states in my warranty package that any maintenance that takes longer than two hours is entitled to a complementary loaner. Their inability to honor simple promises is troubling, stressful, and completely inappropriate, especially for a single mother who relies on their vehicle for safe transportation of their children. We purchased a 2018 Ford Escape for our daughter. Mark Mckinney came up to us and asked if he could be of service. I was made to feel "at home" by everyone from the sweet receptionist to Katie who makes appointments for service - I purchased the Auto Butler, so she set my first appt. date. My salesman, Bob Esau, was great throughout the process and I highly recommend him to anyone. Joshua, the Sales Manager, was able to find the truck that I wanted in the right color at another dealership several hours away and sent a driver to get it. Bob took his time to go through a lot of the technical things that I haven't had on other vehicles. More
