$1000 to replace a $52 A-8 thermostat. $130 per hour labor took 6.5 hours. Ridiculous. I am done with them. If not, shame on barrier and their rates for mechanics are ridiculous. I have bought 6 cars from Barrier but never again. More

Barrier does not stand behind it's own Warranty--when my engine blew up after less than a year on a Barrier Certified car, they refused to help even though there was a Technical Service Bulletin about engin engine blew up after less than a year on a Barrier Certified car, they refused to help even though there was a Technical Service Bulletin about engine oil sludge buildup on the 1.8T, which is what eventually made my engine blow. My car was in the shop at Barrier a total of 52 days in one year and as it turns out, Barrier did not follow Audi USA Technical service bulletin when they sold me the car--they should have put synthetic oil in it BEFORE I ever bought it, and it never would have continued with it's sludge problem.
