Great Communication and Service Recently, our check engine light went on. At a previous service, Bob advised us that his mechanic told him the problem could be one of two things -- Recently, our check engine light went on. At a previous service, Bob advised us that his mechanic told him the problem could be one of two things -- either a turbo cutoff valve needed replaced at a cost of about $400, or the problem could be the entire turbo which would cost about $4000. In response to my question about whether this was a safety issue, Bob told us that it was not a safety problem, and while performance would be affected, unless we were racing the car, we probably would not notice that much difference. He stated his mechanic, who was very experienced, said there was an 80% chance that the valve was the problem, but there was a 20% chance it was the turbo. After a few days consideration, we decided to replace the cutoff valve, which is what this service was for. I appreciated having the full information so we could make this decision. The service cost came in under the estimate we were given. I was very comfortable while waiting (they made a conference room available to me so I could do some work), and the work was finished more quickly than expected. More
