Tom, Upon inspection of the windshield we determined the windshield chip was filled - it did not to be replaced. We explained this to you when you were here. The technician may have missed the very minor chip and didn't notate it, however that wouldn't have negated any of the certification requirement(s). Used vehicles do not get full tanks of fuel - we provide full tanks on all new vehicle purchases here at Mattie Imports, just a company policy. I'm not quite sure which trim you're referring to, however, it is a used vehicle - we cannot make them brand new no matter how hard we try. In some instances their may be imperfections to the body, or in this case, "trim pieces" may be damaged or broken. If they do not interfere with functionality, it is a dealers discretion as to whether or not they need to be replaced - not VW's. In this case, we did order and replace said broken trim. You should not be surprised. Air filter was not even checked as I found housing filled with acorns. Cabin and engine air filter dirty and cabin filter is recommended way before 60k. You also did not replace 2 tires as stated above. I did mention the reflective trim piece on driver door since I found it missing and was replaced when I had to come for service a day after delivery. VW CPO checklist has now windshield damage right on the inspection sheet.

Tom, I originally responded confusing you with a different customer, my apologies. I have since edited my original reply. Your tires, in particular, passed VW Certification. I understand you may have wanted new tires, however abiding by VW's Certification requirements, those tires passed. We did replace the trim piece/light cover you're referencing. As I mentioned, a tech may have missed the windshield in their inspection, however it wouldn't stop the vehicle or fail the vehicle from inspection - they would have simply notated it, as they did. If there is anything else I can do to make you feel more comfortable about your purchase, please reach out to me directly. This is the first time since you've purchased your vehicle that I've been informed that you were unhappy.

I'm not surprised, it's the service I've come to expect at dealerships. No talk about the cabin and engine air filters huh? 60k for an engine air filter? Is that what it says in service manual? I've never bought a CPO from a dealership that cut this many corners. I shouldn't have had to find the issues I did if the CPO inspection was fully done.
