I’m so lucky this dealership broke our handshake deal on their damaged car as I found a newer model of the same car with more options and such low mileage, I have the manufacturer ls warranty. Going into the dealership, I knew the exact car I wanted. The young sal Sean was kind enough to let me test drive the car pre-detailing. It had a major alignment issue and confusing dashboard. Still, the deal was fair so I was ready to move. I left with the understanding the salesman or manager would car once the alignment was fixed and car detailed. Neither did. I reached out to find the car was on the lot. I went to drive it again. The alignment was not repaired. I was not a priority as the young sal Amanda had an appointment, which never showed. As he was solo at his desk while I test drive the car with my son. My son was leery of the auto and the dealership: great instincts. The price, if auto was drivable without making alignment worse, was decent. I endured the “I’ve got to talk to my manager” line many times so I wasted many 15 minute increments at a glass desk. The salesman returned with his best offer: buy the car as-is and make an appointment at their service department to fix the alignment. Given the pull and the damage to wheels and tires, a large incident caused the alignment problem, not a simple fix. I declined the offer to buy a broken car, which shouldn’t be driven until repaired, and then wait weeks for the service department to fix the car to the dealership’s standards. That was actually a condescending offer ‘yet she persists,’ asking for the promised repair. More “manager trips” and the salesman returned with papers about the car and a handwritten line underneath which, was written “Will Buy Once Alignment Fixed.” He told me to sign on the line and it was legally binding. I pointed out that repairs can be deemed “good enough” and unless 100% better, it’s subjective. More manager visits and we had a handshake deal that I would buy the car as soon as it was repaired. I was told the car would be fixed in the next few days. I told them I’d get a cashiers check so we verified the purchase price. Days went by. I checked online to see if the car was back on the lot. It was, and the price had increased by thousands! Reaching out to the sales manager, he was rude beyond compare. Handshakes mean nothing. Audi Flat Irons is price gouging, ignoring clients and revealing just how their lives enters will be treated. Expressing my concern, the sales manager’s sole response “You wanna buy another car?” This dealership lacks ethics, honesty, and any attempt at human relationship building. They chose a few grand over customer loyalty, and ethics. Had they chosen to boost the price by creating a bidding war once they had my deal in place, there was ample opportunity to contact me. The disrespect is humiliating. I was never treated as a customer despite my full price offer they accepted. Once the chip / car shortage is over, remember how these business practices. Avoid Audi Flat Irons! My new / used car came from Gebhardt in Boulder. It drives like a dream, is two model years newer, had less than half the miles of the Audi Flat Irons, better interior color and condition, the elusive second row captains chairs, no red flags … Gebhardt didn’t use my interest to escalate the price, nor create a bidding frenzy. These were no bogus manager trips. My nightmare at Audi Flat Irons was a blessing in disguise. Audi Flat Irons dishonest price gouging reminded me of living through a Hurricane when on the east coast. One of the hour local grocery stores opted to charge $10 a bag of ice because people were in need. That company spent millions in rebranding yet no one has forgotten how they treated clients. More

Within less than 500 miles we started seeing the check oil light, took it in to get it checked out, they refilled the oil and said everything was ok but it kept happening and our car had trouble starting. The 2nd time we took it in they found that the engine was out of spec and the issue would fall under warranty ($8k to fix). Apparently the warranty insurance rejected the claim even though the mechanics had evidence of it being out of spec. So instead of making it right, Audi Flatirons decided not to fix the issue and told us it would be $8k to fix. Isn’t that why you pay for warranty insurance? Anyway, we are left with a lemon. The trade-in manager won’t return our calls either. We’re constantly in fear of our car breaking down or not being able to start during our tables. Buyers beware! More
