Hi Terry, I read your review here as well as the communications to our store. I can’t help but just shake my head. I apologize for this poor customer service experience. I’m not sure exactly what transpired here but let me tell you that Marcos is actually a pretty good guy. I’m not sure how this happened; the only thing I can think of is that perhaps when reading into the emails back and forth we took some meaning that he did not intend. Regardless, we didn’t provide you what you were asking for nor did we help you find the car we still have in inventory. From your last email to Brett you explained you were no longer interested and that’s fine but if you have a moment to spare I’d like to speak with you. Update: I want to thank Mr. Kienle for the kind response. There is something healing, if not restorative, that occurs when a company acknowledges shortcomings. As Mr. Kienle suggests, we may, indeed, have gotten off to a rough start. (I acknowledged this very fact to Mr. Morales which began a second round of email exchanges following his initial rejection to my request to discuss pricing.) Further, I admitted that I may have, in fact, contributed to the situation by misperceiving Mr. Morales' words and intentions. No, it wasn't a full explanation of what had transpired to that point, but I wanted to do business with the Walters Auto group if for no other reason than they had the best inventory. Why not let bygones be bygones? So I gave it a second try. Unfortunately, the second encounter seemed more about Mr Morales SAVING FACE from the embarrassment of being contradicted by a fellow Walters Auto representative than about SAVING THE DEAL. And this time the notion that "we misunderstood" Mr. Morales' words belied the facts. Of course, it's possible that my first encounter wasn't motivated by cheap sales tactics manipulating the potential buyer onto the lot so as to maximize buy-now-pressure and encourage impulse purchasing. It's also reasonable to suggest that my first encounter was marred by my own misperception. But the second encounter was clearly inept, punctuated with an unmistakable tit-for-tat mentality. So you'll please forgive me for interpreting the first experience through the lens of the second. Suddenly, it's not business, it's just personal. Obviously, you are in a much better position to make a determination about Mr. Morales' overall character than I. So I'll avoid making any sweeping judgments or casting aspersions about integrity; I'll take your word that the dishonesty and attempted manipulation I experienced was an anomaly and not the product of a secret deviant with a rapacious moral code. Fortunately, I did find that Pre-owned 2018 Audi Q7 3.0 with Black Premium Plus trim. What's more, it was only ten minutes away. The fine folks at Santa Monica Audi efficiently and professionally fulfilled our request only a few days ago and we couldn't be happier.
