I DO NOT recommend Auffenberg Nissan service! ! I took my Infiniti in for brake service on all four wheels. While servicing, the technician managed to crash into the building and damage both t ! Not sure how that much damage can be done while attempting to back out of a service bay. It took over three weeks to get the bumpers replaced and repainted. I had to request status on the progress since communication was almost non-existent. For the inconvenience, they only took $100 off the bill which is UNDER 10%! I will never do business with them and do not recommend. Avoid their service and repair department! More
Drove my sons 370z to the Auffenberg Nissan to investigate a check engine light as well as a fuel leak. When arriving to pickup the car I found that now it does not rev past idol and canot be driven home. I contacted Kenny Ladd (Service Manager) who said in short words "too bad" and its not their fault that the driving condition of the vehicle changed even though they were the only ones who touched the car from when it was drivable to when I had to trailer it home. Not only will I never visit this crooked dealership for service, I will also never buy a new or used car from them in my lifetime. More
Service Department Dishonest My wife and I have been driving Nissan vehicles for the past 17 years. The vehicles and dealerships had been excellent, until we moved to Illinois and My wife and I have been driving Nissan vehicles for the past 17 years. The vehicles and dealerships had been excellent, until we moved to Illinois and began dealing with Auffenberg Nissan. In early 2019, we took our 2016 Murano (purchased new from Auffenberg) in for routine service and reported that the driver's side seat heater was operating intermittently. Without having either a Mechanic or Technician check out the vehicle, the Service Adviser informed my wife upon vehicle pick-up that they could not duplicate the problem. This was not a complete surprise as the heater had been operating intermittently. The vehicle was within 3000 miles of the warranty expiration at the time. No mention of the problem we reported was included in the final service report, a fact that we didn't pick-up until too late. Well, the seat heater finally failed completely in early January 2020. Obviously we were beyond the warranty by then. When we took the vehicle in for repair, we were told that the vehicle was out-of-warranty and we would have to pay the full repair cost. We informed the (different) Service Adviser that we had reported the problem while the vehicle was still under warranty. Without the previous Service Adviser's mention of the problem in the earlier service report, we had no record of the problem on file. (Very convenient for the Dealership, with only 3000 miles to go on the warranty.) Well, I authorized their Technician to check the seat heater to see what the problem was ($145 Tech charge). The answer came back as a failed seat heater control board that would cost another $1,400 to repair. The total cost would have been $1,545. I did not authorize the repair and chose to call the Service Manager instead. I have never been treated so unprofessionally in my life with the man virtually calling me a liar on several occasions. I called NissanUSA, and they agreed to an 80/20 split - without any haggling. Auffenberg it seems can't do simple math either. They charged me $418 ($145+$273) instead of $309 (20% x $1,545). I can buy a car anywhere. We have all of our vehicles serviced by the Dealerships and see the Service Department Teams regularly. If I can't trust the Service Department, I'll buy elsewhere. Unfortunate circumstance Nissan Altima has known transmission issues. Replaced the transmission and has broke down 3 times since with blown transmission lines. I showed them the text messages and email varrifying the appointment but they claimed they don't do that service at that time. Made us reschedule for a super inconvenient time and blamed us for using their online booking system instead of calling. Then the service ended up taking double the time they told us. What a joke. True customer care and professional staff. I just moved to into the Illinois area, but purchased my 14 Rouge from another dealer in Tennessee. I was coming up on my first maintenance which was covered by the dealer in Tennessee but I didn't want to make the four hour trip to get it done. I decided to check out Auffenberg Nissan in Ofallon IL to see what could be done if anything, and I had my doubts. Mark Chapman was the first person to welcome me and he really listened to my situation. I was more than impressed and relieved once he told me that the maintenance would be covered and it was no problem. I kind of figured that I would get some last minute cancellation appointment or back door deal but it was nothing of the sort. I got an appoint which fit my schedule and was greeted warmly at the time of drop off by Travis. Upon picking up my vehicle it was cleaned inside and out which really impressed my wife and I too.
