Took my vehicle in because one of the windows would not roll up. The repair took 2 and a half weeks: 5 day wait just to look at my car (not leaving it meant chancing the vehicle getting rained in as my garage is currently unavailable due to home renovations); + another full week to get the part from Michigan; + another 4 days because the technician and service advisor and parts department couldn't be bothered to talk to one another; + 1 day to actually do the repair. I had to track down the service advisor several times to ask about the status of my vehicle -- he never contacted me with updates until the day the car was ready. When he gave me the cost estimate over the phone, he neglected to mention the $60 or so in additional "fees". In every previous experience with this shop, the price I was quoted was accurate, so I had no reason to expect the total to be higher than what I was quoted. When I picked up the car this time, I asked for an explanation. "Well everybody has to pay shop fees and taxes" is what I was told. I said if you are calling me to tell me the cost of the repair, you need figure this all out ahead of time and give me that number so I know what to expect. I also said "shop fees" are not the same thing as taxes. It's fair to assume that people expect to pay sales tax on goods and services they purchase. But "shop fees" are not a tax or regulatory fee that gets passed through to the State -- it's a markup, plain and simple. You could call them "CEO Yacht Acquisition Fees" and it would likely be more accurate because nobody would confuse it with a charge that is imposed by law and passed through to the city, state, etc. "But you didn't ask for an 'out the door' price" was effectively the service guy's only response. At that point, I decided I will never do business with AutoNation ever again. Anywhere. Any brand. Service, sales, parts. Never again. More
Our visit to Auto Nation Chevrolet on West Colonial in Orlando on July 4th (drop off by tow truck) was by far excellent. A new service writer resigned and Andrew Lewis picked up the ball and ran with it for a touchdown!!! Andrew and the technicians (Van, Team Leader) and Derick (Genl Mgr) were supportive, professional and kept us informed all thru the lengthy process of getting the job done. Our thanks. I arrived for my original appointment at 6:16 pm on Tuesday 7/26 and was told all technicians had left for the day. I made another appointment for the next day at 4:30 for my oil change. Although the Tuesday 7/26 and was told all technicians had left for the day. I made another appointment for the next day at 4:30 for my oil change. Although the service for the oil change itself was fine, I was pretty irritated about the original appointment cancellation the day before. It would have preferred to receive a phone call prior to driving to the dealership. More

You surveyed the wrong person. Took my car in for routine service and that went well, so that’s why you got 2 stars. I also mentioned a hesitation in acceleration and for that to be checked. Expecting a diagnosis that day, I got a call that I needed 2 air filters…I had them replace them. Then I was told it would be 5 days before my car would be looked at for the engine hesitation. Seriously? And no loaner cars? No thanks. Then…I get a call from a person representing Autonation asking if I wanted to sell my car. I was interested, except she wouldn’t give me a quote without knowing what I owed on the car. I explained I didn’t know. She said she’d call me back. Next thing I know, my husband gets a call from the same woman asking HIM for payoff info. That was way over the top in my opinion. I’m truly interested in selling my 2018 Camaro with only 20,000 miles on it, but after the sneakiness, I won’t do business with Autonation again. More
