Had my Jeep towed to the dealership. Had spoken with Daniel the assistant service manager who was my contact. The Jeep was there for several weeks while troubleshooting. When I went to learn the status, they were not able to duplicate the issues, for the Jeep was performing fine. Daniel introduced me to Brian L. in the sales department to assist with getting an appraisal on my Jeep with options for me. I was not charged anything while my vehicle was at your dealership and was surprised at the value of my 2008 Wrangler Sahara I was offered😊. *I did not work with the people it says I did, but it won't let me change that. Really Short Version: We worked with Nate, bought a Cherokee, it had a ton of issues, AutoNation resolved all of the i won't let me change that. Really Short Version: We worked with Nate, bought a Cherokee, it had a ton of issues, AutoNation resolved all of the issues without question. -1 star for the stress. Long Version: Buckle up, and please read all the way to get the full story. As stated above, we worked with Nate and got a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. The car looked great on the outside, but looking back we should have been more insistent that we got it inspected by a third party prior to purchase. AutoNation discourages customers from doing that under the pretense that their dealerships (or at least this one) have their own service centers where all cars get inspected before being put up for sale, along with their "no questions asked" 5 Day 250 Mile return policy. We were told it would be a big ask to get the car for a day to go have it inspected. So we moved forward with the purchase (working with Marco in Financing was a breeze) and the next day drove it to a mechanic who found the engine had almost no oil, the radiator was leaking and had no coolant, the engine cooler was leaking, rear light panels were loose, rotors were terribly warped, left front wheel was missing a lug nut, rear wheels were a mix of 17mm and 19mm lug nuts, and a bunch of other small stuff that was less of a safety issue. How this car was put on the lot by a reputable dealership is something AutoNation is still trying to figure out. We reached out to Nate and he immediately got us in contact with his manager, Alex. We arranged to get the car back to AutoNation so they could confirm the issues and we could discuss next steps. They agreed with the mechanic's assessment and got to work, no questions asked. Jumping ahead two weeks, we got the car back and took it back to the mechanic who confirmed they fixed EVERYTHING, even going a bit beyond what he was expecting on some things. While this whole experience was not the smoothest, credit needs to be given to Alex on how he handled the situation and that they took care of the customer. You don't always need to be perfect, but when you make a mistake you need to own up to it and respond professionally. Alex and the AutoNation team did that. We've had the car for a couple of weeks now and are very happy with the purchase. More
