AutoNation Ford Margate - Service Center

I had a problem with my battery the day prior. AAA checked it and advised that I needed a new battery. I also had another issue and decided to take it to Ford and asked that they change the batter AAA checked it and advised that I needed a new battery. I also had another issue and decided to take it to Ford and asked that they change the battery and check the COWL since I heard a noise. The tech advised that there would be a $179 check fee. No problem. I was then advised that they checked the battery and confirmed that I needed a new battery. I already knew that. But also that it would be $179 again to check the cowl. I advised that I didn't need the battery checked because I already knew that was an issue and to only change it. After the back and forth, I ended up paying $350 for a battery and the cowl was not checked or fixed - which defeated the purpose of me taking it to a Ford dealership. Issue: I already knew the battery was a problem - only asked that it be changed. Issue: Asked to check cowl for another fee. The fee should have been used to check the COWL, not the battery. I already knew that it needed to be changed. Not pleased. I will not take my Explorer to a Ford dealership again because it was all about the money and not fixing my problem. More

My service experience at this dealership and specifically with Jeffrey Balaban was outstandingly positive. I had a major transmission issue with my truck that this service department actually took the time t with Jeffrey Balaban was outstandingly positive. I had a major transmission issue with my truck that this service department actually took the time to find and diagnose it properly not just relying on what tht computer codes said. Jeffrey was very prompt and consistent with clear communication on what was going on and what to expect while I waited on my truck. He even took it home (with my permission) to drive it himself throughout the repairs to confirm it was fixed properly. Additionally he helped me with the warranty department of Ford to assist with covering my car rental expenses. I will bring my truck back to AutoNation Ford every time now. More
