I had a very disappointing experience with ALM Marietta that I feel others should be aware of. I visited the dealership to look at a used 2023 Hyundai Palisade and worked with a sales agent. I was told that I feel others should be aware of. I visited the dealership to look at a used 2023 Hyundai Palisade and worked with a sales agent. I was told that if I wanted time to think, the dealership could hold the vehicle and price with a fully refundable $1,000 deposit. Based on that assurance, I submitted the deposit. A few hours later, I decided I would rather purchase a new Palisade and immediately informed the Sales Agent. He told me the deposit would be returned within a couple of days and that I would receive a receipt. Neither ever happened. Over the next two weeks, I repeatedly reached out to the dealership. I called multiple times and spoke with multiple people across different departments. Each time, I was given the runaround and told the refund had already been processed when it clearly had not. No one followed up, and no one provided accurate or consistent information. Importantly, I have written paperwork confirming the deposit and audio transcripts documenting both the refundable nature of the deposit and the promise of a refund. Despite this clear documentation, the dealership did not honor their agreement. I ultimately had to dispute the charge with my bank just to begin the process of getting my money back—something that should never be necessary for a refund that was explicitly promised and documented. This experience showed a serious lack of accountability, transparency, and customer service. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with ALM Marietta, especially when it comes to deposits and verbal or written agreements. More
