I drove approximately one hour from Ellenwood, GA, to ALM Ford Marietta to service my 2022 Ford Bronco. On my first visit, I worked with Mr. Gary, who provided outstanding service—professional, knowledgeable, and transparent. He correctly diagnosed a faulty purge valve as the cause of my engine light, which gave me confidence to return for the repair. I dropped my vehicle off on Thursday afternoon for a purge valve replacement and oil change, and it was ready by noon the next day. The turnaround time was efficient and appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience at pickup was extremely disappointing. I noticed a dashboard warning light that had never appeared prior to service and asked my service advisor, Chelsea Johnson, for an explanation. She was unable to clearly explain the issue, provided incorrect information, and became dismissive and confrontational when I asked follow-up questions. Once the service manager became involved, the situation was handled professionally. He calmly explained that the warning was likely related to a low battery following service and clarified the start-stop system—information that should have been communicated initially. I remained professional throughout the interaction. Asking for an explanation about a new warning light after paying approximately $812 is entirely reasonable. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and customer service I experienced from my assigned advisor overshadowed what could have been a positive visit. I made a deal to purchase a used truck from them via phone. Asked them to have all the loan and paperwork ready to go. 6 hour drive each way and needed to turn and burn. Finally do paperwork and get that done, have to find sales guy to get the keys. He hands them and we get in the truck. Drive home fone, truck smells like a vanilla bomb. 2 days later it smells like nothing but a big ashtray. They knew it, they avoided letting us notice that, and I've called, emailed, used contact forms, tried Facebook, and left messages. They will not take or return a call. They know what they did and won't even be decent enough to just admit it. These kind of practices tell you they'll hide anything they can. Liars and thieves. Avoid ALM group at all costs. I had a very disappointing experience with ALM Marietta that I feel others should be aware of. I visited the dealership to look at a used 2023 Hyundai Palisade and worked with a sales agent. I was told that if I wanted time to think, the dealership could hold the vehicle and price with a fully refundable $1,000 deposit. Based on that assurance, I submitted the deposit. A few hours later, I decided I would rather purchase a new Palisade and immediately informed the Sales Agent. He told me the deposit would be returned within a couple of days and that I would receive a receipt. Neither ever happened. Over the next two weeks, I repeatedly reached out to the dealership. I called multiple times and spoke with multiple people across different departments. Each time, I was given the runaround and told the refund had already been processed when it clearly had not. No one followed up, and no one provided accurate or consistent information. Importantly, I have written paperwork confirming the deposit and audio transcripts documenting both the refundable nature of the deposit and the promise of a refund. Despite this clear documentation, the dealership did not honor their agreement. I ultimately had to dispute the charge with my bank just to begin the process of getting my money back—something that should never be necessary for a refund that was explicitly promised and documented. This experience showed a serious lack of accountability, transparency, and customer service. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with ALM Marietta, especially when it comes to deposits and verbal or written agreements. More
