Working with the entire AutoNation Ford team was fantastic. Polo (the GM) and his team made ordering my new truck simple and easy. They kept me informed from the beginning to the end. Polo and Cole have been great in providing advice, updating me, and finally delivering the perfect Bronco. Despite the chip shortage, motor shortage, hard top shortage, Polo always remained positive which kept me going as well. Not many dealerships get invested with their customers. This dealership is different. Today they've earned a lifetime customer! More
After many attempts at other dealers, Ford in Valencia provided honest prices/service! The salesman we found was busy with another customer, but immediately found us someone else to assist us. WHAT WENT WELL: -Neftali " Nef" Gonzales, provided information that I needed WHEN I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A CAR. WHAT MADE THE EXPERIENCE BAD: -They initially sent me a door menu that has a mark-up value of $5000. So I inform them that I am not interested and they won't even be willing to remove the markup. Until Autonation Ford Torrence and Ford Tustin reach out and offered their car WITHOUT a markup and offered to get the car from Valencia if I really wanted that color. I won't mind driving an extra 1hr if I can save $5000, right? The manager, Austin Lemasters, then called me to price-match the offer because they saw the offer on their Autonation system. So I still did it with them because of the location. If you are looking for a better deal, try other dealers first. -I went to the store the same day. I spoke with JAMES THREW, the finance manager. He showed me a certain APR from the bank and said that I was approved for it. The APR he showed me is the same, exact "sample" APR from Torrence and Tustin without checking my credit score when they gave me their door menu. I expect it to be lower than the "sample" APR considering my Credit Score is Excellent. I am still fine with it because I just wanted to get the deal done but from that point, I am under the impression that since they didn't give the markup, they will add APR for the commission. Again, THIS IS NOT THE STORE TO GET THE BEST DEAL to save if you are looking to it. Should have known the from the first red flag. -They quoted me a door guard which was NEVER installed in my car. The door guard they quoted is $1500+ which I know is a form of their commission but at least put $200 door guard as stated. -I paid my downpayment using a check. The Initial Check is a backup check that doesn't have my name on it but has all my account information. I asked James Threw if it'll be a problem because I am ready to pay using a card. He said it went through and so we closed the deal. The next day, Neftali Gonzales, the sales associate texted me saying that they needed a check with a name on it, so the business office and finance director voided the Initial Check. I am still OK with it. I wasn't expecting to purchase a car that day so I didn't have my ordered check, so I went to the bank and processed a Cashier's Check, paid the extra fee for processing, and drive back to Valencia after a long hour working to hand over the check to James. I asked for my initial check and James said it was forwarded to the office and was voided already. James said that he will email me for the receipt of the Cashier's Check. Did he email me? NO. -The next day, it shows that the initial check was processed and is pending. So I texted James Threw, he contacted the check company and said that they will cancel the initial check and just waiting for the Cashier's check to be finalized. But later on, my initial check was cleared and posted. James did not do anything instead of checking updates, won't make a follow if I don't follow up, and is not planning to do anything after learning that both the Initial Check and Cashier's Check went through. So I am left of contacting the bank to dispute the check which will cost me another fee and my time. -I emailed Austin Lamasters, Nef Gonzales and James Threw 2 days ago but never heard back from them. BOTTOM LINE: They are just active when trying to make sales and closing the deal but when problems arise, expect that you won't hear from them and you might be on your own. Find a different store to find a better deal. While other AUTONATION store can offer their cars without Mark-up, this store will NOT and prefer of getting a bigger commission. More
