New ownership has made the experience personal and it shows from service tech Cole to salesperson Carla. This Hyundai dealership ain’t your dad’s dealership. No old tactics or mis direction. Honest peopl shows from service tech Cole to salesperson Carla. This Hyundai dealership ain’t your dad’s dealership. No old tactics or mis direction. Honest people giving honest solutions . I don’t remember any other dealership in my 45 years of car buying, that was easier and more focused on helping you navigate the service do’s and dont’s of maintenance for your current auto, too, choosing your next Hyundai new or used car , truck or suv. I’m impressed because it didn’t feel like a ( us against them ) atmosphere. More like I had a need and Auto nation is gonna do the best they can to to fill it professionally and competitively. Again it’s an approach I never thought a dealership would adopt. It’s a fresh take and it’s quite impressive. More
The appointment process was easy and fast - got in the same day I called the dealership for an oil change. The car was washed and ready to go in about 1:20. The waiting area is clean and neat. Cole did a great job. Nice waiting area. Coffee and snacks were an added plus. It seemed like a two-hour wait was too long for what was done. Nice waiting area. Coffee and snacks were an added plus. It seemed like a two-hour wait was too long for what was done. More
Cole, did a great job ushering me through the recall/repair process. In the 5 years of interaction with Hyundai Hilton Head I've never had a bad experience. recall/repair process. In the 5 years of interaction with Hyundai Hilton Head I've never had a bad experience. More
Love my new car. My Tucson has fabulous safety features and luxury extras that I am enjoying. My sales person was very good before and after the sale. Shawn Simpson r My Tucson has fabulous safety features and luxury extras that I am enjoying. My sales person was very good before and after the sale. Shawn Simpson really listened to my requests and was intuitive about what I needed to learn in my after sale training. My hybrid clocked in at 47 mpg yesterday. How cool is that? More
We bought our Sonata PHEV new because it came with a lifetime warranty for the hybrid battery. After 5 years and 61,000 miles the range had dropped in half. This degradation accelerated after year three lifetime warranty for the hybrid battery. After 5 years and 61,000 miles the range had dropped in half. This degradation accelerated after year three. I’ve been trying to get Hyundai to replace the battery for 2 years. Their warranty states that they’d will do so if the battery degrades below 70%. Every service department said that they’d need a failed diagnostic to do so, including this one. If I were reviewing how well Hyundai honors their warranty I’d give 0 stars. Preamble over. The car finally gave a yellow triangle, exclamation point, “HEV” warning. I kept running and drove straight to Autonation and left it running. I had talked to Brett Adelman in advance about the battery and fortunately he was working. He kept the car running, had a tech get right to it, and within an hour told me the car would be getting a new battery under warranty. Most of that hour was spent on the phone with Hyundai getting approval. I was offered a loaner and told the battery was back ordered but it should be no more than a month and might be just a few weeks. Eight days later I got a text saying the parts were in, the tech was starting the job, and the car should be ready the next morning. Three hours later Brett called to tell me the car was ready! Our car drives like it did when new. I went 32 miles on a full battery on the first drive. It’s rated for 28 miles. It had been down to 15 miles. I look forward to going back to gassing up once every 3 or 4 months. Besides Brett, I’d like to shout out Cole as well. We didn’t think we’d need the loaner at first. It turned out that was wrong. I swung by the dealership unannounced just to see if they had any fuel efficient cars available. They’d just gotten an Elantra Hybrid back from a customer. Cole spent 20 minutes cleaning and prepping the car himself. I’m pretty sure that’s not in the job description of a service writer (I used to be a service writer). Overall, I was completely satisfied with the service I received. I’m a very happy customer (of Autonation Hyundai of Hilton Head. Hyundai of America should have approved this service 2 years ago.)
