From issue to a sale! We visited Peacock Hyundai this week with an issue concerning the third party maintenance agreement we purchased when we bought our Santa Fe Limited l We visited Peacock Hyundai this week with an issue concerning the third party maintenance agreement we purchased when we bought our Santa Fe Limited last fall. With the issue resolved we were leaving when one of the sales people, Shawn Simpson, (who we had briefly met the prior year) came up and greeted us by our names and asked if there was anything he could do to help. We talked a while and I mentioned that although we really liked our Santa Fe Limited I had a little buyers regret for not getting the Ultimate that has it's own navigation system. Shawn indicated that he knew of one that was a 'demo' and he could have it available for us to see the following day. The next day we went in, took the vehicle for a test drive, sat down and did some intense negotiating and reached a deal. Shawn handed us off to Jeff Teague, who is an excellent finance guy, and he took us through all the paperwork (and made it easy to understand). We went home very pleased with a new car. Shawn is not your prototype automotive sales person. He's smart, he's perseptive and he listens. He is people oriented and works to find what it is that the customer needs to get to the purchase. He doesn't push or try and force an issue. Shawn Simpson made this sale possible and turned what may not have been the best situation into a very positive one for both Peacock and us. More
