Brought car in for recall service. Was told it would be ready between 1 and 2. Was specifically asked for a good number to notify us. After waiting until 4 we finally called to find out statis...service debt didn't know but would call back when found out...no call back. Called back at 5....went to voice mail. Decided to just go physically to find out what was going on...was asked if we had already picked up the car...really? Why would we be asking if already had car...when we finally got home (after waiting 3 hours after the latest time it would be ready) discovered a message on answering machine that our Subaru was ready...time? 12:47. We weren't home....we were waiting in Spokane for our car...an hour and 15 minutes from our home. Need much better communication around there...service guy specifically wrote our cell phone down on paperwork....very frustrating as we thought we had most of the afternoon to get some other things accomplished...and will now have to make another trip to Spokane. More
It didn't take as long to get my car serviced as I thought it would. The waiting area is neat and clean and comfortable. They are very respectful to the customers and gave special attention to a you thought it would. The waiting area is neat and clean and comfortable. Subaru AutoNation Spokane Valley has always given me excellent service and they are professional and efficient too. Such a pleasure to deal with them and I really appreciate the various recycling ♻️ opt excellent service and they are professional and efficient too. Dropped my car off at 7am. Was not told I had to wait until 7:30 for a ride to work. When I was called to tell me the car was done (oil change and tire rotation), I asked to Was not told I had to wait until 7:30 for a ride to work. When I was called to tell me the car was done (oil change and tire rotation), I asked to be picked up at 5:15pm. I was told I would have to call back later and ask to be picked up at that time even though I was talking to the service dept. I called back in the afternoon and couldn't reach anyone. The operator took a message. Got home and found that the oil cap wasn't put on properly and the engine and hood had oil everywhere. Called at 7am when service dept opened the next day and had to leave a message. When no call back by 10am, I called and informed them what happened. They came out to the house, picked up the car and cleaned it up. They are not charging for the next 2 oil changes. The service recovery was adequate but overall, not impressed with the experience. While the customer service was exceptional, I did have a couple of bad experiences with my first service visit there. I had purchased my 2016 Legacy from a friend and needed help transferring the informati couple of bad experiences with my first service visit there. I had purchased my 2016 Legacy from a friend and needed help transferring the information from her name into mine as I was unable to do it on my own and wanted to make sure I got the emails on when to service my vehicle, etc. The service agent was having a difficult time transferring the information as well but assured me by the end of the day I would have an email. I didn’t. In fact, it took me 4 phone calls, leaving messages for the service agent, before I was actually able to get through to her to make it happen but it did get resolved. The other issue was, when I got home I could not roll down my passenger window using my driver controls. I called and left a message and received a return phone call by someone stating since I had bought a new battery, this should have been reset for me. She apologized for the inconvience and walked me through how to reset it myself and said she would talk to the service manager to remind the technicians to reset the door locks when changing the battery. Small issues but a little frustrating none the less. I appreciate getting them resolved though. More
