I requested information about a vehicle and received what I am guessing was an auto generated email from the GSM of the store including a reference to the name of the sales person I was supposed to have hear I am guessing was an auto generated email from the GSM of the store including a reference to the name of the sales person I was supposed to have heard from. I responded asking who the sales person was and let them know I hadn’t received any information regarding my request along with my unsatisfactory experience with Autonation as a whole during my car search. The GAM’s response was to first tell me that as the GM they know the sales person contacted me about my inquiry and that they would like to personally help me in my search. How am I supposed to respond to that?! Why would I want help from someone who’s response was to tell me they know something was done because they are the GM? Clearly if I am saying I didn’t receive correspondence from someone I have done my due diligence in verifying that I didn’t receive something. I work in a field requiring customer service and I could never imagine telling a customer that I know they received something if they informed me that hadn’t. More
