Fifteen years ago we purchased a new Prius. at this Toyota dealership in Fort Myers. Although they had some rough spots over he years with mergers and economy challenges. I’ve been a customer at AutoNation Toyota for 15 years now for mostly routine check-ups and Services (because Prius is so reliable. While waiting, I often walked the floor and showroom. Most of the times I stopped as a sales person asked me my name and if she could help me. And I asked her name too. We talked briefly many times over the years. With my own background, I recognized her passion for establishing business relationships. Earlier in 2022 I decided to approach her about buying a new car. Skipping forward I learned about product shortages. In June she suggested I get on a waiting list. She kept me apprised of status by texts for 7 months! A couple weeks ago she informed me the vehicle I was waiting for would be arriving soon. It happened 2 days ago! Today I met again with Roberta Billings, my wonderful sales consultant. I can see how she recognizes needs and concerns of customer, recognizes how to address delays, paying attention to loose strings in the various processes to get things done, knowing her product very well, initiating related tasks to move smoothly simultaneously. Even training the customer to see the new products, assuring insurance is confirmed, etc etc. Over the years I’ve enjoyed seeing such dedicated and polite individuals in widely different fields to successfully reach objectives. Sometimes it can be attributed to the management or the culture. I’m not familiar enough here to say that or not. Today we received our long-sought Venza! But it was just as gratifying how Roberta moved along efficiently to get everything done. Checking computer screens. Cleaning out an old car. Not in a checklist order, but doing multiple things at once. I had been right in observing her professionalism as I had seen relationship building over the years. Many organizations seek such rare talents and people. Wow. Roberta is a gem.. Her title is sales consultant. Again a gem. She is a definite 5-***** star employee.
