The service center is really unorganized. I scheduled an appointment online but was still considered "walk-in" because the staff I was assigned to on the appointment stopped working there. That also means I had to unnecessarily wait longer even though I had confirmation of an appointment. As I sat in my car, I could hear the staff cursing under their breath, bad mouthing each other, and it was an awkward environment. Finally when I came to get my car two hours after they had called me to say it was ready, I had to wait because they misplaced my keys. Also, I had to wait because only when I arrived did they put my car through the car wash... why call me if it's not 100% ready? Everyone seems stressed and unorganized. I was never introduced to the new staff that was servicing/assigned to my car. More
We recently purchased a new Tacoma at this dealership several miles from our home. We initially were concerned about buying the truck from such a distance. However, Vinnie Jhaj worked with us and could not have made our experience more pleasurable. He was easy to communicate with, always responded quickly to my text questions and concerns. He was in constant contact with us providing updates from build to delivery of the truck. Made sure we had a pick up appointment that worked for us, and once at the dealership, helped us through the entire purchasing process. He even walked us through the various features of the truck before we drove it off the lot. We would not have felt comfortable buying the Tacoma from such a distance from our home if was not the relationship we developed with Vinnie Jhaj. More

Before I start this review, I’d like to add that the manager's contact number in these replies takes you to an automated messaging system. It did not take me directly to the manager or their voicemail when I called it. In July 2022, I took my vehicle for a 30k mile maintenance appointment here. I paid $1266.22 for the service and everything went fine. However, I went to Fremont Toyota for my next maintenance appointment in April 2023 and did not have to pay anything because my service advisor there used my prepaid maintenance plan when I purchased the vehicle. I was confused since my Hayward service advisor (Ray/Rohit Abasi) in July didn’t use my prepaid plan. For 6 days, I contacted the AutoNation Toyota Hayward Service Center several times leaving voicemails and an email to Ray, asking to receive a refund for my service in July, and never received any response. My prepaid plan should have covered that appointment. After no response, I went physically to the service department in Hayward. I spoke with Ray and his manager and they provided me with unsatisfactory customer service. They did not offer to reimburse me for July and showed no empathy for my situation. I bought my car from the dealership here and had a great experience, so it’s very disappointing to see that the customer service does not match in the service department. I’d highly recommend Fremont Toyota over Hayward, since their service department provides a higher level of customer care. More
My salesman, Mo Sharifi, made sure the price quoted for my new Toyota Camry Hybrid was what I paid. I admire him for being a man of his word.
