I was very pleased with the experience at AutoNation Toyota in Austin South. Found the vehicle I was looking for at the price I found very attractive…via the search on my phone. It was good enough that Toyota in Austin South. Found the vehicle I was looking for at the price I found very attractive…via the search on my phone. It was good enough that I traveled from San Antonio to Austin to close the purchase. The two pros that helped us - Michael in sales and Austin in the finance office - made the fairly complex process of buying a car as quick and smooth as possible. I am a first time customer of AutoNation and am very pleasantly surprised. I recommend AutoNation and these professionals highly. More
I love getting service at Toyota dealership. Last Friday I arrived without an appointment around 7am and wow was it busy. I needed inspection and asked for an oil change. The bottom line is communication and customer service was practically non-existent. I arrived at 0910 for my 0920 appt, i was not checked in until 0950 after initially being assigned to the incorrect service practically non-existent. I arrived at 0910 for my 0920 appt, i was not checked in until 0950 after initially being assigned to the incorrect service liaison. That tech, after looking up my appt said “your appt is with Efrain” and walked off. No, “I will get him for you” or “sorry about that”. There was construction and I understand that could cause delays but not one person acknowledged or apologized for the wait. I was told my service, an oil change and 60K inspection, would take 2hrs, so I expected 3hrs. I got there at 9:10a and left at 1:35p. I got the text that my car was ready at 1241. I went to find Efrain’s desk. The text said 1st on the left but that is If you enter from the door on the right. I entered from the door on the left. I stood there for a moment then walked all the way around the room, obviously looking for someone. Not one of the at least 10 people in the room acknowledged me or offered assistance, like “hey, who are you looking for?” I found his desk, he was on the phone for a good 3 minutes. He did not acknowledge that I was waiting, no “I will be right with you” or “apologies for the delays”. Once I paid he pointed me outside. My car was not there. I walked around the parking lot and building. I asked another tech where the completed cars were parked and that I did not see mine. He continued walking past and said “they are parked in random places”. not offering any help. I went back inside, told Efrain my car was not there. He said yes it is, right out there and pointed. When he went outside with me, he couldn’t find it either. He went off to look and then drove past me in another car and yelled out the window that someone would bring it right to me. After I waited another 10 minutes outside, I walked around looking for my car and saw a tech parking it at the other end of the lot. He took the keys inside so I went in again to get my keys. They were on Efrain’s desk so I took them and left. I got the very clear message that I was not a valued customer. I also got the sense that the service team would rather be anyplace else than there. Lots of heads down, rushing around (or the opposite-on their cell phones). More
Had a great experience dealing with Alex Lomeli and the manger Shaddi. They made the transaction simple and easy. Someone buy those guys lunch!! manger Shaddi. They made the transaction simple and easy. Someone buy those guys lunch!! More
They did not rotate my tires, but service manager said they did & checked it off on the paperwork also. My front right tire had a scrap on the tire & hub cap & it was not moved. Makes me wonder if they they did & checked it off on the paperwork also. My front right tire had a scrap on the tire & hub cap & it was not moved. Makes me wonder if they did anything else or just faked the work. invoice 10000493 tag 1832 customer 4724032 what is AutoNation going to do about this fake work? More
I had a great experience with my salesperson, Rito. He was professional courteous and great every step of the way. With that said there are a couple of issues I encountered related to the service d He was professional courteous and great every step of the way. With that said there are a couple of issues I encountered related to the service department.that are off-putting. After I picked the car up from the dealership and drove it home, I discovered that the skid plate (which mounts underneath the engine to protect it from damage ) had been taken off and simply left in the back of the car instead of put back on by the service department. Obviously this exposes the underside of the engine to damage on the road as I drove, and I had to then make time to go back to the dealership and have them put the skid plate back up underneath the engine to protect it from damage. I then checked all the fluids in the car and discovered that the coolant was not topped off and the windshield wiper fluid was completely empty. This dealership claims to have a massive checklist of things they do on certified pre-owned vehicles that is something like 125 or 150 checkpoint items and obviously these are not all properly done on this car. Notably after pouring a gallon and a half of windshield wiper fluid into the reservoir to fill it up, less than 2 weeks later it was empty again. I brought it into the dealership to have them check it out and the service department said they couldn't find any leak. They filled it up again and I am keeping an eye on it to see if I need to bring it back again. About a week after bringing the car home, 1 of my tires was so low that the low tire pressure indicator came on. I aired it up and then 2 weeks later the air pressure was so low it had to be aired up again... so obviously this tire will need to be replaced soon. I bought a number of used cars over the course of my life and I've never had an experience where I had these random issues after buying the car. Every other time I drove the car away and then it just worked. So overall I had a very good experience with the sales department but there seem to be issues with the service department. More
