I have a 03 Camry and my check engine light was on. I was told it was my fuel pump and I was quoted a price for the part and labor. I informed The service advisor that some of my vacuum hoses had broke I was told it was my fuel pump and I was quoted a price for the part and labor. I informed The service advisor that some of my vacuum hoses had broken and i replaced them but I wasn’t sure if they were connected correctly. He was very helpful keeping me informed on what was going on with my car while I was waiting and he asked the technician about the hoses and they said they were good. I got my car back check engine light was off. The next day while driving to work boom check engine light back on. I called and told the same service advisor and I was told I would be charged a diagnostic fee again which didn’t sit well with me. I ended up going to a shop to get the job done. The vacuum hoses were too small and were kinked so it wasn’t letting the air flow correctly. I feel like I was basically charged for a part and labor I didn’t actually need. I won’t be returning. I feel like I was mugged and robbed! When I made the appointment I was told the cost would be @ $275 and would take about two hours. I wound up standing in the service drive looking around wondering how to contact my advisor while multiple employees looked at me and did not offer to help. Not a very friendly and welcoming feeling.
