When I returned, Vin, who wasn't my sales rep, helped with some of my questions on working the instruments in my new car. This is the first review I have ever written on DealerRater. I used DealerRater to do a lot of research, but I’m not one to write a review for a place. Therefore, this is a pretty big deal for me at least - because I want to let everyone else using this website know about the absolutely wonderful experience me and my parents had at Autobahn USA! I apologize for the long review, but I feel these guys deserve it. For some context - I am a medical student and I was in need of a car for my 3rd year of school (when we need to go out to clinical sites such as hospitals and doctors’ offices). Since med school doesn’t include money in their loan package for personal transportation, I had to take up a job to save money for a car. After spending 3-4 months researching what to expect when searching for used cars (I can in no way afford a brand new one), how to spot lemons, Massachusetts laws and regulations on returning cars, what to ask dealers, how to negotiate the price down to every last penny, maintenance issues, oil changes, buying vs. leasing, depreciation and residual values, and what car to get, I finally narrowed my choice down to 3 dealerships. I have a strong research background (published in academic medicine and healthcare 4 times), so I don’t overlook anything, especially when it comes to a major purchase such as this. Summary: I did a LOT of high quality homework into everything about purchasing cars. The Beginning: Autobahn USA was the first dealership I went to on a Monday night. No prior phone call or emails were exchanged - I just walked in with my dad. They were busy, but after walking around for less than 2 minutes, Stu, the sales manager, asked if I was being helped. When I told him I was waiting, he immediately got up and kindly introduced me to a sales specialist named Ron. My dad and I sat down with Ron, who started out by offering us free coffee - very hospitable! After my dad got a cup, we started talking business. Since I had already planned on financing the car, I had a monthly budget in my head. After selecting the car, I asked if they would drop their already low price even further. Ron told me he’ll see what they could do. After a little back and forth, we negotiated the price down a few hundred dollars. I told them that I would need some time to consider it, and I left. Afterwards, I went to the next dealership on my list, which was in Boston. Again, I told them about situation, budget, and what I was looking for. Although they were very courteous, they could not find the vehicle I wanted in my price range. Furthermore, since I didn’t have a car ownership history (all the vehicles I had driven were in my dad’s name) I was getting a rather large interest rate on a loan with a shorter term than I could afford for my monthly budget, despite my excellent credit score. Autobahn USA was looking even more appealing now. After much discussion with my family, and a good night’s rest, I went back to Autobahn the next morning. The Followup: The next day (Tuesday) I went to Autobahn with my mom. I met with Ron right away and he pulled up the car on the computer again. After settling on a price, I took the car out for a test drive. It drove like new - no problems whatsoever. And then we started talking financing options. This was a totally different experience. After discussing my monthly budget, Ron brought Stu over. I have to stop here and say I have never met such courteous and respectful dealers - they both made my experience just fantastic. Stu explained what he was going to do. With over 25 years in the auto sales business, he said he had developed strong relationships with both major and minor financial institutions, and assured me that he will help me with the financing. After a few hours of phone calls, Stu got back to the desk. He said that he setup a deal with a credit union, and offered me a loan term just 9 months shorter than what I wanted, with less than half of the interest rate I was offered by the Boston dealership. This blew me away, especially since I never owned a car in my name before, and since it fit within my months budget! I was absolutely floored. Stu then spent over an hour on explaining the details of the finances, which he said included gap insurance (bringing the price a tad higher), taxes, and a small dealer fee. He answered the litany of questions I had for him very thoroughly. I honestly could not have gotten a better deal, or service, elsewhere. I signed the contract that day. The Pickup: After working with my insurance agency and obtaining proof of auto insurance (required in MA), Autobahn USA obtained the car title, and registered it for me at the Mass RMV. Before I came to pick it up, the car had been cleaned through and through, and literally looked brand new (although it was 2 years old). I drove it off the lot and had it inspected the next day. The inspection took some time since it was a new car and I knew the inspectors personally. I wanted them to check everything possible, and they were very thorough. The car passed with flying colors! Summary: I got a great deal, outstanding and transparent service, and a solid vehicle!! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a car. Seriously - their prices are unbeatable, their sales specialists are very respectful and courteous, and the shopping experience is completely transparent. If I ever need a car in the future, I’ll definitely be returning here. If you’re in the market for a lightly used car in excellent condition, seriously consider this dealership. You will not be disappointed! More

Just prior to Thanksgiving I phoned the dealership and spoke with Ron. A very polite and straight talker, he took the information I provided, and returned my call in a timely manner with the information I desired. When I met him I was pleased to find him a cordial gentleman who was a straight shooter. Did he do the "let me talk to my manger" bit....of course he did, however you wouldn't be in a dealership if you didn't at least shake the manager's hand! That brings us to Stu. Another fairly straight shooter, who was not overbearing or pushy in the least. It always helps when all parties at the table are educated about cost and profit. Stu minimized the nickel and dime BS most buyers dread. Then there's Tom in finance. He actually DID NOT try and sell me some crazy extended warranty. Thank You Tom for excusing me from that torture, and thank you for your service to your country. Do yourself a favor....go to their website and see if there's a vehicle on their lot you think you might be interested in. If you do see something you like, pay them a visit, you'll be glad you did!!! More

They were not able to deliver the car yet because the registration had not been completed, but they offered to bring the car to me when it was ready. This was incredibly helpful - Patrick took two hours out of his day to drive up to swap cars with me. The staff is incredibly responsive to your needs and take all of the hassle out of car buying without gouging you for those privileges. More

Kyle knew all the bells and whistles and did an wonderful job explaining them. NEVER did I feel pressured or made to feel that I must make a decision in a hurry. Their website is very accurate and what we had hoped for when we found it on the website turned out to be even better in person. They had good pricing and the finance department was quick and thorough with good rates. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a new or used car.
