Baker service could not reproduce my issue (phantom battery drain over several days). I did further research at home, found the problem (rear gate does not always cause current drain to go below 0.5 a battery drain over several days). The service was good, and the advisor was polite. But there was one thing that I would like to alert the dealership to. I drive with my headlights in the “auto” position, but it was switched to “off” by there was one thing that I would like to alert the dealership to. I drive with my headlights in the “auto” position, but it was switched to “off” by the technicians. I did not realize this and drove for 2 hours in the dark with the primary headlights off. This is a common issue with auto headlights, but with a Subaru with so many automatic features, I can see this happening to many drivers who let the car “take care of itself”. I owned the car for 6 months, and I never adjusted the switch once I set it to auto. I think most drivers are like me, and never touch or check this switch. Can you please ask the technicians not to change the headlights from the auto position. This is a safety issue. Thank you. More
