The initial visit was awesome customer service. I came in for an oil change and was informed there was an airbag recall. After that it was poor communication. I was given a rental car for an airbag recall on Wednesday. Received a call on Thursday (no voicemail left, although I became aware that it was full and unable to leave a message, so my bad there.) I called back on Thursday and couldn’t get through to talk to a human being so I ended up calling enterprise just to find out what was going on, they said it had been extended another day so I was good. I called service on Friday and left a voicemail and never got a call back about the status of my vehicle, the whole time worried about getting charged for extra days on the rental, it was very stressful. I FINLLY was able to call in Saturday morning and get a hold of someone who said my car had been finished since Thursday. I had to leave work on a Saturday, missing sales opportunities and my lunch break. I finally get my car back at the dealership and there were multiple thick wires hanging down near the gas pedals for a system the previous owner had installed. I don’t mind that but I expected to get the car back the way I had turned it in. After calling the mechanic over to explain what they were, I had him put the wires back up under the dash where they were originally. Everyone I spoke to and worked with in person were very friendly and professional l, but the customer service / answering the phone was abysmal. I was being charged a fee daily to insure the rental car and ended up driving it around for two days longer than needed because of the poor communication. I came to Bob Baker because I’m a new (used) Subaru owner and wanted to go to the experts, but I ended up feeling like one of a thousand other customers who just got lost in the shuffle. More

I have nothing but huge accolades to give to the Bob Barker VW Carlsbad service department. I had taken my 2018 VW bug in for a recall item (very minor) and to fix my cd player. Mind you, I live in no Barker VW Carlsbad service department. I had taken my 2018 VW bug in for a recall item (very minor) and to fix my cd player. Mind you, I live in northern California..... Several unavoidable minor hiccups occurred during the brief time they had my car. I am hear to say Norman (he came in to play when poor Bobby had an unexpected family emergency) did everything he could do to make my experience the most inconvenient as possible. I was offered a loaner car while they waited for parts to come in. I would highly recommend Bob Bakers VW service department to anyone. I will gladly use them again. Kudos to the team...!! More
2019 Ascent parasitic (battery killing) current drain **NOT** solved after 2 days. New battery is now slowly dying. Julian Perez insisted everything was “normal”.
