Autonation Subaru Carlsbad responded

This customer had recently purchased a Subaru STI at our Dealership. He arrived at our Service Department at 4:45 p.m. wanting a battery replaced under warranty in his girlfriend's Subaru Forester. After speaking to several people at the dealership and the Service Director, Norman, the customer was advised he would need to leave the vehicle. We needed to properly test the battery per Subaru's protocol, this includes a parasitic draw test that can take up to 2 hours. The customer was extremely upset and wasn't listening to reason or explanations of the situation from Norman, making it difficult to logically discuss the situation at hand. Our Service Department closed at 5:30p.m. and we were unable to get the test done that day, but offered for the Customer to either leave the vehicle or return the next day, which was a Saturday and we would fit them into our schedule. The Customer agreed to return on Saturday and we were going to provide a rental, but the Customer did not show.

That’s a lie. I arrived there at 3:45 pm and you told me you closed at 5 pm which was also a lie. Your website says 5:30 pm. You should post the video of what happened and the time stamp because you are outright lying. I wanted done what Subaru roadside assistance promised me after I requested for them to call the service department to make sure we could get a battery replaced that day. Roadside assistance called me assuring me they could and they had set it all up and all I had to do was bring it in. That’s exactly why I showed up at 3:45 not 4:45 as they would like you to believe. The only reason I became agitated was because of your unprofessional service manager Norm who was yelling at me all puffed up like he was going to punch me. He told me to leave and go somewhere else. That’s when I got a sales manager involved and he said he would get us a rental the next day but we were going out of town as I tried to explain but to no avail. We needed our vehicle as we were going on a country road where all wheel drive was required with our dogs. I encourage anyone who is considering buying a Subaru, not to buy from this dealer. Read the reviews on this dealer and be prepared to be shocked! I’ve never left a negative review until Bob Baker Subaru, this is a first. I’ve contacted Subaru of America corporate and I’ve got a case number with Norman’s name on it. Here’s the case # Norm (SR #:1-50926150195) I hope you haven’t erased the video because not only did you behave in appropriately but you have lied about the time stamp. Refer to all the negative reviews Norm and you will see a pattern of lying, cheating, conniving, swarthy and unprofessional behavior. Also, they bait and switched me on the actual purchase of my STI, which they won’t even try and defend because they admitted to it just by saying it was a mistake. There are other reviews with this same complaint. I’ve explained in detail in my original review of the classic bait and switch. Come clean Norman, at least your career will end on being honest for a change. Also, you are required by Subaru corporate to not deny warranty work or you will lose your partnership with Subaru.. you denied me by telling me to leave the dealership and go somewhere else and it’s on video. I’ve made Subaru corporate aware of this. When I need my car serviced or my girlfriends we have an express right to get it done there and cannot be refused or denied service, as you’ve already done once. I’ll keep going up the ladder on this one Norman. I’m just getting started and I won’t stop until you are reprimanded for your lies and unprofessionalism.
