Two transmission shops said it wasn’t neces repair it without any issues. I had been to another dealer and they wanted to rebuild the transmission. Two transmission shops said it wasn’t necessary. It wasn’t and awesome Chevrolet fix the problem well below the price of replacing the transmission, I will definitely go back for any other repairs. More
This is based on ALL the dealerships owned by this person. 5 in total. I've purchased Most of my vehicles from these dealerships including one travel trailer and a lot of RV supplies. But because of t person. 5 in total. I've purchased Most of my vehicles from these dealerships including one travel trailer and a lot of RV supplies. But because of the experience with Awesome Chevrolet, (Which was the straw thar broke the camel's back) I will NEVER purchase another vehicle or service from any of these dealers. It started with the I-5 Ram. They tried to screw me and got caught, The only reason I purchased my 3500 ram from them was because of the Deal they gave me AFTER they got caught. (Longer story). Then I-5 Toyota tried doing the same thing and they got caught. The reason they got caught is because of the incident that happened at Ram made me check to see. And sure enough, they tried. (Long story again. And then awesome Chevrolet. Went in there to purchase a 2500 gasser. Didn't have any and asked if I ever considered an Electric one? I said no, so they proceeded to tell me about the truck they had in their showroom. Gets 480 miles on a full charge, can tow 12,500lbs. sounded good. my main concern was how far could I go pulling a 9000lb trailer, because I wanted to travel the U.S pulling my trailer. (Now I traded in a 18 camary and a 2018 ram 3500 drw. Got answers from 225-270. After the talking etc. decided to purchase. They told me they would get it charged up and ready to go. Went to pick it up and they only charged to 80%. Told me why, said OK. Was going camping in a couple weeks, so I charged it to 100%. The milage was 397 At 97%. I'm thinking 3% more isn't going to be another 80 miles but figured I'd ask when I got back from my trip. Plugged my trailer into the truck and the mileage dropped to 160. A far cry from the 225-270 I was told. But first trip I figured I'd wait and see. We went 110 miles to our destination, and the battery was at 29%, There's no way I'm getting another 100+ miles on that. So when we left, charged to 100% again and got home and it was about the same. So went to awesome Chevrolet to discuss, (and I'm not happy). I asked them what they said I would get for mileage and they new something was wrong but didn't want to incriminate themselves. Now there's different models and different battery sizes that they sell. They had ONE truck on their lot, and they were giving me numbers to ALL the different models. This truck is the extended battery (Not the Maxx) so it will never be able to go 480 miles on a full charge. Why would you tell me that if this isn't the truck? and then they said the truck could pull 12,500lbs. The MAXX battery can't pull that much plus the payload is a lot less than the extended. So then they accused me of not doing my research because I had 4 days to think about it before I bought it. So they can tell you anything they want and if you don't do your research, TO BAD. The bosses were hiding out in the office watching everything going on and didn't even bother coming out to see what the problem was until I told the salesman they were a bunch of cowards. Then the manager came out and asked what was wrong. When he left he said "he'll see what he can do". Now It's been a couple of weeks since I bought it and put 800 miles on it. But what he will do (How generous of him) is give me $15,000 less than I paid for it, as a trade in on another vehicle. So I paid my loan off, (so they don't get their interest kick back). And I canceled the extended warranty, (so they don't get their kick back on that). Plus, they lied about the warranty, saying there was only one company that sold extended warranties on EV's, so there wasn't room to negotiate the price. Was $6000 and I paid $5500. I knew he was lying but didn't have time to RESEARCH and call him on it. Never again will I purchase from, I-5 Toyota, Awesome RV, Awesome Ford, Awesome Chevrolet, and Volkswagen of Olympia. More
I’ve spent years buying vehicles from the I-5 Motors group, including Awesome Chevrolet, and giving them business out of loyalty. We’ve purchased several rigs, done all our maintenance through them, and group, including Awesome Chevrolet, and giving them business out of loyalty. We’ve purchased several rigs, done all our maintenance through them, and even stuck with them after they sold us a lemon. To their credit, they made that one right by letting us exchange the truck. But that was the exception, not the rule, and that goodwill is now gone for good. This last visit sealed it. I walked in, cash in hand, ready to buy again—like I do every couple of years. That used to mean something. Now? It’s like I was invisible. The salesman couldn’t be bothered, and Brandon, the “manager,” acted like I was wasting his time. Apparently, if you’re not financing through them (where they can pad your interest rate and milk you in the back office), they don’t want your business. And it gets worse. I brought in a rig I bought from them just last year, and they had the audacity to offer me nearly half of what wholesale is worth, a full $25,000 less than what I paid them for it. That’s not depreciation. That’s straight-up theft in disguise. This isn’t just a bad day at a single dealership. This is how the entire I-5 Motors group does business now; disrespectful, dismissive, and dishonest. I decided to keep my trade and walked out. And I won’t be walking back in. I’ll never spend another dollar with these people, and I’ll make xxxx sure nobody I care about does either. They didn’t just lose a sale, they lost a lifelong customer, and a loud one at that. More
Awesome Chevrolet should be called Unawesome Chevrolet because that is what my recent service experience was like. Summary - Dealer messes up multiple times: 1. Doesn't understand the stock models - because that is what my recent service experience was like. Summary - Dealer messes up multiple times: 1. Doesn't understand the stock models - claims not under warranty 2. Don't call to say parts came in - makes the customer chase them down 3. Ordered the wrong part (right vs left seriously?) 4. Doesn't do a proper alignment on the new part replaced under warranty 5. Ghosts the customer after they pick up their car, when they try contact them to resolve the issue 6. Avoid Read on for the details: I took my stock 2023 Camaro ZL1 with a track pack (1LE) to them because of a noise from the left front strut. They originally told me my car was not covered under warranty because it had aftermarket parts in it?!? After I told them to look up the 1LE package they realized their first mistake, too bad for me, that it wasn't the last one, it was only the first of many. I was told the strut needed replacement, they would order the parts and would take a week, picked up the car. I told them the car has a dual mode alignment (street and track) and wanted to make sure that the alignment was redone for both. Service advisor Dawn McFadden, told me don't worry about it we will make sure its done right 2 Weeks later I had to follow up with them asking if the parts were in?. Then I dropped the car off, but got a call once I got home (40miles) that they ordered the wrong side (right instead of left). Waiting for parts again. Again I had to chase the advisor down if the parts had come in and took the car back in. Got a call later that day saying that the car would need to be kept another day, as the alignment came back and the steering wheel wasn't straight. I reminded Dawn about the dual mode alignment (I'm getting really nervous at this point). To their credit with all the screwups they did throw in a free oil change. Next day I pick up the car, no service notes or notes on the work order about even having any alignment been done. I was told I would have to talk to Dawn as she was gone for the day. Called her the next day and she forwarded to me the alignment specs, but didn't show that the track one was done. Also it showed that they only adjusted the toe?!? They hadn't touched the camber - it was left out of spec on the newly replaced part (maybe they don't know how to adjust camber?!?). After that Dawn ghosted me, no longer replying to my emails, texts or returning any phone calls. Seriously unprofessional. I tried escalating by calling the service manager but he too doesn't return calls. This is a great example of the complete lack of professionalism, follow through or customer service mindset at Unawesome Chevrolet. Keep in mind I paid a different Chevy dealer almost $800 for a good street and track alignment and this shop couldn't even do a basic alignment one, avoid! More
