Scammers is the best way to describe this dealership. Also had an issue with the cover for my truck. When it got installed it it was suppose to be the one that I could open if I needed to put things in my trunk when I went back to the service center they told me they can’t remove it it’s was permanently put on and that’s what I ordered. I called the dealership many time and tried to explain to the owner and he accused me of purchasing what I received, and then stoped answering or returning my phones calls. Then one day when I had the time I went to the dealership and showed him what was on my trunk and he brought my truck over to the dealership only to find out they service department had put on the cover backwards which is why I could not lift it when I needed to. I find them to be dishonest and condescending and not trust worthy. I cannot recommend this location. When I took my car for service they also do not have loaners so I had to sit for several hours to get an oil chance and a software update. The service department also could not give me a ride home because it was not in their neighborhood. They also had snack machine but they were not working they did offer free coffee and tea, so I sat for several hours without options to get a snack or a drink other than free coffee. I also purchased wheel and tire package and they did not have it in their system and the technician did not believe me and I even had to walk over to the dealer in the rain because he refused to contact them to verify… so when I got over to the dealer I spoke to the same person in charge. Thank god I brought my wheel and tire contract with me because I would have again be painted as a lier. I never expected to be treated this way by a GM representative, however I guess if this location is independently Owned GM really should not be blamed for a Chevrolet dealership mishandling of their customers. Complaint Details On September 28, 2024 I purchased a vehicle from Axis Chevrolet at 685 Garfield St in Jersey City, NJ. I went there to purchase a 2023 Toyota Camry after seeing an ad on both CarGurus.c vehicle from Axis Chevrolet at 685 Garfield St in Jersey City, NJ. I went there to purchase a 2023 Toyota Camry after seeing an ad on both CarGurus.com and the Axis website for $23,998 After signing the paperwork of agreement to purchase the car the gentleman came back with a paper claiming about an “Axis Advantage” fees and taxes that price needs to be adjusted for the state of New Jersey because of tax purposes. I told the man, no that is not correct because the ad said $23,998. He assured that the price won’t change. So I signed. After doing the paperwork was done. The price was adjusted to $28,895. I went home with a bad taste in my mouth because something wasn’t right. I called the dealership on Monday September 30, 2024 and spoke with the man. I mentioned to him what was done was false advertisement. That the supposed Axis Advantage was not mentioned in either ad on CarGurus.com and their website. At the end of the conversation nothing was resolved and he asked to come in to have the adjusted paperwork. I drove two and a half hours to the business and nothing was done. He gave me the same spiel. I mentioned to him that I legally had a three day grace period to either return or readjust the contract and his response was “That only matters if the sales person goes to your home to make a sale.” Knowing the response was wrong, I didn’t argue and said to him, “Ok.” And walked away. I never received that ONE copy of the Axis Advantage adjustment in my purchased paperwork. The reason for this complaint on the business is there was false advertisement of the vehicle listed at $23,998 and then adjusted to $28,985. I traded my Chevy Equinox for $2000 and deposited $10,000. I received a finance of $21,000 and change making the total car at $33,000 and change ($12,000 deposit) I also got charged for tires and wheels for a used car. Harut was the majority on this sale and a girl helped them. More
I can't tell if they're understaffed, or if they're just uncommunicative by nature, but I had to call over and over again just to get any information about my car. It took them two weeks to even look at it, uncommunicative by nature, but I had to call over and over again just to get any information about my car. It took them two weeks to even look at it, and then another week to order the parts to fix it. I would have learned none of this if I have been calling nearly daily. Multiple calls ended with promises of a call back within the day or next day, none of which I ever received. Even once. The only two calls I received were telling me how much it would cost and then three weeks later: that it was done. The work appears to have been adequate at least but it took almost a month and a half to even get it and I was in the dark the entire time. More
