BMW airbag recall also asked for visual inspection of my car I originally called to find out about my recall b/c I bought the car privately and the person I bought it from changed the steering wheel from what wa I originally called to find out about my recall b/c I bought the car privately and the person I bought it from changed the steering wheel from what was originally in the car I told this to the person I spoke to, too see if there would be a issue and I was told that they might not be able to do it b/c it wasn’t the original steering wheel for the car. So I called again at a later date to make an appointment to have the recall done also asked about a visual inspection of my car b/c my inspection is out in March 2020. I know BMW’s aren’t cheap to fix so I could figure out what kind of money I’m gonna need and/or parts I’m gonna need to replace so I can fix what I can before inspection. When I got to Tompson BMW for my appointment i parked my car up and as I was walking to go in I was told I couldn’t park my car there and had to pull up in the valet line so i went back to my car and pulled into the valet line and went inside. When I got to the customer service desk I told them what the car was there for a recall and visual inspection. They asked if I wanted my car washed and detailed while I was there I told them no. I waited for probably a hour and a half to 2 hours. The recall was taken care of or at least to my knowledge b/c I was told it was one side airbag was replaced and not any of the others and when I asked for my inspection print out I was given an excuse that all the lifts were being used and that they couldn’t do the visual inspection. The vibe I got from it was b/c they were doing free work that they didn’t do it b/c they weren’t making any money from me that day. I got to my car and they washed my car and detailed it when I didn’t want that done now I’m not gonna complain about it but at the same time I am b/c of principle I told them I didn’t want it done and they did it anyway. What would happen had it been they found something wrong and I told them no it’s ok I’ll fix it and they do it anyway that’s the principle I’m getting at. My driver window was not working properly already before going there for service and someone who was in my car moved the window. I know this b/c my window is now not closed properly or completely and now I have to deal with a constant buffeting and the sound of wind whistling while driving b/c it wasn’t put back properly to the way I had it before I took it in for service. The whole time of being there I felt unwelcome and like my business wasn’t wanted there like I was beneath everyone that worked there. While waiting for my car I went over to the little shop of BMW items that they had for sale and I felt watched like they thought I was gonna steal something. I don’t remember names so I’m just randomly selecting employees b/c it’s required for me to select employees in order for me to submit my review. This reflects on the whole place and not just one person b/c like I said I can’t recall names and I don’t care to recall the names b/c of my experience there. I will not be returning to Tompson and won’t be recommending them to anyone. More

Fast, Efficient, Friendly Had a 9am appointment. Service area was very busy, so they gave me free loaner. They finished before noon and didn’t mind that I took until 2pm to pic Had a 9am appointment. I asked when I dropped the car off and when I spoke to the service tech on the phone if there were any deals or sales on tires. Both said no. The said the prices are already low. I had received an email from the dealership about tire rebates. When I picked up the car, I asked the cashier if there were any tires deals. Again, third time and third person, I was told that the prices are at the lowest levels and there are no sales or deals. I asked about the email explaining the rebates. She said, ok and gave me the paperwork for a $75 rebate on the four new tires I purchased that qualified. That is incredibly disappointing! 2. When I spoke to the tech on the phone, he told me I needed new front brakes. We talked about how it was covered under my service plan. When I arrived to pay, the price on my sales sheet was $600+\- more than i expected. I asked to review the invoice. My brake work was being charged. I stated that I had a service plan which covers the work. The cashier talked to a manager and then took off the cost. This is again very disappointing. While the service work itself on the car was fine, there is clearly an ethical shortcoming in the service desk, the service desk is clearly not focused on details or customers. More

Screw up with my tire I have been using Thompson BMW service since I purchased by vehicle over 10 years ago. The service and the service staff have always been great. Recen I have been using Thompson BMW service since I purchased by vehicle over 10 years ago. The service and the service staff have always been great. Recently I needed a tire replaced. (I purchased 4 new tires 9/30/18, and with about 3,200 miles on them, one had a small gash on the sidewall. Of course it was about 1 month out of warranty, but no breaks to be given!) I ordered the new tire and scheduled the appointment. First, I waiting over two hours for what I was told should about an hour. Second, the bill was more that what I was quoted, even though I specifically asked if the price included everything: tire, mounting, disposal, weights, balancing, tax, labor... It was about $15 more and I let it go since it wasn't in writing. Shortly after I arrived home, my phone rang. Mike from service informed me that the WRONG TIRE was put on my car and I needed to bring it back! Obviously this was an inconvenience as I now had to go back to Doylestown, twice, to drop off and pick up again. While everyone was apologetic, I was very disappointed and inconvenienced, as I had to rearrange my time with my elderly mother in NJ.. More
